  • SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!
Size: L Color: Pure Black
Headline says it all. This is most definitely a, "Save your money," product. It's sad too, because I actually had high hopes when I received it. It appears to be a fairly sturdy case, though I only "used" it for about half and hour. That half an hour was enough to tell me that it wasn't worth what I paid for it. So here's the good and the bad when it comes to this case. The good: It appears to be a fairly sturdy case, though I only "used" it for about half and hour. Yup, that's it. That's all the good I can find. And the bad seriously outweighs the good. The bad: Where do I start? As soon as I opened the case I noticed that the foam on the sides, in the bottom layer, was not fully attached to the hard plastic sides. About an inch, inch and a half, wasn't glued down. If everything else about the case had been wonderful, I'd have dealt with that. I shouldn't have to, but I would have. It was a simply fix that a glue gun on low could have handled in less than a minute. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning of the issues with the foam. The piece of foam that goes around the entire bottom portion of the case was not in alignment with the removable pieces that create the separate sections. The foam going around the sides has "tracks" in it that the removable pieces slide into. The removable pieces have these same tracks, glued to a fairly stiff cardboard. There is one long piece that goes across the case from one short side to the other. Technically this piece can be removed, but it can't actually be placed in a different slot than it came in, because then none of the other removable pieces would fit properly. I could have live with that, except the tracks on this long piece did NOT line up with the tracks on the foam going around the entire bottom layer. Because of this your sections are always crooked. Also because of this, you're always putting your removable pieces in angled, instead of straight, which they're not meant to do. What happens is one side or the other gouges the track, because it's not being slid into the track straight. Over time this will cause the track to become too wide, or simply disappear altogether. It also means that you always have to make your section is large enough for it to fit whatever you're putting in it, at the smallest point of the crooked section. This causes a lot of wasted space. And speaking of wasted space, you'll have plenty of it. If you think that this nice large case is going to fit a lot of stuff, because that's what the picture shows, well, it just isn't going to happen. So let's start with the issue with the pouches that the picture shows filled to the brim with makeup brushes. Not going to happen. If you're lucky, you'll be able to use one row, but not both. And you may not be able to use that. More on that in a minute. One of the issues with these pouches is that the rows are not offset from each other. So when you have one row filled whatever you have in it pushes into the other row. When you try to put something in that other row it's like trying to add ice to a cup filled to the brim with water. Sure you can do it, but the ice is going to displace some of the water. The other thing is, though the bottom is nice and deep, it isn't really deep enough, due to the height of the removable dividers. Anything that's placed in the pouches that actually fills them will cause whatever is in the pouch to hit the dividers. Either the bottom needs to be deeper, or the dividers need to be shorter, so that whatever is in the pouches has space to go when the lid is closed. In its current design you have to attempt to place your dividers in a way that your pouches bypass them when the lid is closed. Once again, this causes a lot of wasted space. And if you can't manage that, then you're putting stress on those dividers. There are also two zippered compartments on either side of the center flap. Again, if you have anything in the pouches it's pushing into both of these compartments, making them all but useless. I put flat items like nail files, in ONE of these compartments, and small charging cords in ONE ROW of the pouches, and I could barely get the case zippered closed. BARELY. Nothing in the bottom part came above the dividers. Frankly, nothing came within half an inch of the top of the dividers. And because of the crooked sections, I had a good amount of empty space in the bottom. One zippered compartment remained completely empty, and I didn't use the very top of the case that had two Velcro closures at all. I had a TON OF WASTED SPACE, and once I finally managed to get the case closed, it looked like a woman in her third trimester of her pregnancy. It was absolutely ridiculous. And the absolute worse part of it is I now have to pay to return it. Because of several health issues that leave me extremely high risk when it comes to COVID, my doctors feel that I need to continue to quarantine myself for now. And because Amazon no longer provides pickups at no charge, even when an item is defective, which I consider this item to be, if I want to return this I now have to pay more than a quarter of what it cost me to purchase this item. So no, I do NOT recommend this item. You'd be better off investing in a small train case. No matter what you decide to get, just stay away from this. ... show more

These are a great size, but the zippers are difficult to move and items slip under the separators.
