In general, I like this craft project, but it has a major design flaw that makes it impossible for a child to do, even a 6+ year old. Positive things: lots and lots of crystal powder with great colors. The lights are great for the project (although only 3 of the 4 worked). The final product is very nice. Colorful, hold their shape, bounce nicely - great fun! Negative things: the impression is that the plastic halves will snap together and hold the shape, but they do not. An adult must line up the edges and physically hold them together. You must then hold them together in the 'Dunk Tank'. Even though I did this part of the process, I lost hold of the plastic forms twice and the crystal powder dumped into the water. I was able to salvage the mixtures, but those balls were not as nice as the others. If the forms simply clicked together, the problem would be solved....oh well 🙃 I enjoyed doing this project with my grandkids, so I do recommend, but be aware of the problems. ... show more

Super fun to do with the kids, and they turn out awesome looking. They bounce like bouncy balls for the first day, but then they dry out and harden which causes them to not bounce much.

I bought these as prizes for a game at my son’s birthday party. We had planned to test them out before we gave them away because they look cheap and they were cheap. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to test them so I was really worried. HOWEVER, when we got home, we made 8 kits and all 8 of them turned out perfectly! We did have a couple that had been submerged all the way in the water (don’t see how that made a difference) that I was worried wouldn’t turn out because they were still fairly pliable when we opened them, but we just put them back in the mold and dried them on the table a few extra minutes. They were bouncy, colorful and so much fun! Each kid was proud of their ball and has lots of fun playing with them for a few minutes. We had kids ranging from 13 down to 2 years old make them at home and all of them enjoyed it. We did have to help the 2 and 3 year old pour the powder into the mold, but they still liked it. I would 100% recommend these for a party favor, fun activity at home, gift, etc. ... show more
