As someone who loves aromatherapy, I'm always on the lookout for pure, high-quality essential oils. I've been buying the lesser expensive lavender oils these past few years and was content with them, until I took a chance and spent a few more dollars on this. I don't like doing that on untried items as I've been burned far too many times on Amazon. As easy as it is to just order and have the stuff delivered (as I am disabled and can't get out), the trade off is that you can't see, touch, or smell what you're buying. Even if I wanted to return items, I can't get our local mail person to retrieve outgoing mail or packages. So. . . Unfortunately with many things, online shopping will never be able to replace the necessity of being able to examine what you need or desire first hand. Sadly, some sellers seem to depend on this drawback and use it in their favor. And if you buy from a 3rd party, too often the trouble to return it, far outweighs taking the chance in the first place. At least when you purchase direct from Amazon, they always do good by what they sell. All that aside, you needn't worry as I did about taking the plunge. This Majestic oil is very good and it was a risk that I was very pleased to have taken. As much as I labored over risking it, having read the reviews and then doing a bit of reading on the type of lavenders used to make this oil, I have to say it fit my mind's conception of lavender so much more than the others I've been buying. My worst experience was with an oil that was with SUN brand. That was not a pure essential lavender oil like they claimed. It was a blend in a carrier oil and it gunked up my oil diffuser terribly. I should have known the moment I dropped some into the diffuser as it had the viscosity of motor oil –– horrid stuff. The diffuser never did work the same after that. But Majestic Lavender oil is definitely the real deal. Majestic's lavender oil is a nice balance between the powerful clean astringent quality of lavender and the sweet floral scent of the real flower when you find it growing in the yard. I put some every now and again in the center of my silk floral arrangements throughout the house to give them that lovely scent. And it lasts a few days. If you choose to try this, remember to just drop how many drops you like into the very center of the more fuller blossoms. That way it cannot be seen as the bushy petals hide the oil. Another thought would be to dropping the oil onto a cotton ball and then tucking it into the arrangement somewhere near the top, but out of sight. Then you will have the smell of real flower essence rather than the synthetic chemical concoctions that come in sprays. The only drawback to the Majestic oil is that it is a bit more expensive than the handful of other brands I've been buying. Yes, there is definitely a big difference in the scents from them to the Majestic, but I am on a very limited income and can't always afford to buy the more expensive things. Keep this in mind, if you have the same problem, but I assure you if you like the kind of lavender scent that I do, you will be pleased with the Majestic brand lavender oil.

Look, I love oils and use them for all usage in the home. But I love them outdoors too. I use this to mix with cinnamon and garlic to repel mice and try to repel chipmunks where I live on the lake. It helps and is the same type of oils the other brands use. Look it up! It's cheaper to buy the oils and add water and then spray the perimeter of the house with at least 4 usages in one container of this oil (mixed with the others). When I plant my bulbs, I use this too alone to keep the squirrels from digging them up. They hate it and hate me for using it. They don't dig up the bulbs but you have to reapply every few days since the scent does wear off. Those rascals.....

We are a house of smokers. It is important to me that when visitors come they don't immediately smell cigarette smoke. I have a diffuser and although Lavendar is listed as a safe scent for dogs, my dog hates it and immediately vacates the room with the diffuser or will ask to be let out. So how can I use for the intended purpose. Our air vents are in the floors. Every few days I use the dropper provided and put a few drops down each vent. Perfect! when the air is on it distributes the scent throughout each room. The scent is not as concentrated as what is released from a diffuser and it does not bother the dog. We have had company exclaim they are so surprised the house doesn't smell like smoke. It works especially well in the bathroom. Whether you use a diffuser and find other ways to distribute the scent I think you will be happy with this and it is very fairly prices.

The scent is a deep cinnamon and comes with a convenient dropper for use. The oil lasts for a reasonable amount of time and doesn't smell too strong. I have three dogs and use it to deodorize my carpets and rugs. I mix one cup of baking soda with 10-15 drops of essential oils, then sprinkle before vacuuming. I mixed cinnamon with pine oils, and it made my home smell fresh and feel cozy!
