So, it feels great and doesn’t stain, but I found out some disturbing details recently. 1) coconut oil(any kind) breaks down condoms. Meaning the condom can get a hole a lot easier. 2) coconut oil disturbs the natural and healthy Ph balance of the vagina, leading to being more apt to get infections and UTIs. So, great for massages. I bought this product looking for a cheap solution for diluting my essential oils. This seemed to work well, but over the last year and a half, I have noticed a lot of "junk" in the bottoms of my vials. I don't know exactly what to call this process, but it has alerted me to the fact that this is not as high a quality of oil as the one I can get from the same company that I get my oils from. I live in a dry climate, and for many years my wife and I used the lotions you could buy at grocery stores. They were not cheap, but always felt waxy or sticky. They never fully absorbed into my skin. I never liked them, but I didn't know anything better. THIS oil is at least ten times better than the lotions we bought - and we bought the good lotions. It has no odor, and leaves no residue on your skin. My skin feels noticeably better. Softer and more flexible. This is now on our list of things we need - forever. Great stuff. I originally purchased this as a carrier oil when I was experimenting with essential oils. I applied it to my skin one day after towel drying after a shower and was impressed with how well it absorbed into my skin. It does seem greasy at first but only takes a moment to absorb. I have since been trying to find the best oil(s) to add for the perfect after shower scent, although to me it is practically odorless, unlike some other oils. This oil is absolutely HORRIBLE.. It smells, it's yellow and not clear like the picture displays. I have no idea how they can have so many good reviews. There is no way, anyone could be pleased with this oil. I returned it and asked for a different bottle and low and behold, it was just like the previous oil I received. I tried contacting customer service and there is none. I left email messages with no reply's. I lost out on money with this purchase. Fractionated coconut oil is useful when virgin coconut oil isn't right for your needs (e.g. you don't like the coconut scent or the solid isn't practical for your blend). Both oils are amazing and have many benefits. Fractionated coconut oil absorbs into my skin faster and better. Also, it has a ridiculously long shelf life. I often cleanse my face with it. My friend and I were just talking about this oil two days ago (inspired this review). She shared with me an interesting use of FCO. A relative of hers has an especially sensitive "kitty". Her doctor recommend washing her "kitty" with FCO because it's gentle and has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. I thought it was interesting and wanted to share. ... show more
