  • Walked and hiked 100 miles in these!
Quick and dirty summary - These shoes were absolutely fantastic for daily wear and hiking for the price! I put these shoes through ~100 miles of walking/hiking in a tropical climate. I never got blisters and my shoes were always dry. I'll be using these again for the next vacation in a wet or humid location. Full Review My last vacation in a humid climate, my regular shoes never completely dried out the entire trip. My feet were perpetually pickled and the smell comimg from my feet probably could have killed small mammals. Having learned my lesson, I bought these shoes to be my quick drying, daily wear shoes during my 2 week backpacking trip through Thailand. AND SWEET MOTHER OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN THESE SHOES WERE PERFECT! I walked for hours through city streets. I hiked through miles of rugged jungle terrain. I even walked on the beach. Over the course 15 days, I put about 100 miles on these shoes and they're the best frickin' $45 hiking shoes I've ever used. The shoes stayed intact and I didn't get a single blister. Best of all, my feet stayed dry and not smelly! My only con was the fact that the heel of the shoe could sometimes be difficult to slip on. On the other hand, my heel was comfortably snug and secure once in the shoe. As these shoes are significantly cheaper than any other similar shoe I could find on Amazon, I didn't think it was that big of a deal. As they're designed to be affordable and dry quickly, these shoes aren't as supportive as a full blown hiking shoes, but they're still very adequate. I hiked 16 miles in 1 day and my feet only started to ache towards the last couple of miles (which sometimes still happens to me with more expensive hiking shoes on long hikes). So in summary, these are great shoes if you're looking for cheaper quick dry shoes that still perform well for hiking or lots of walking. They'll be getting used again when I go to the Galapagos Islands later on this year. ... show more

  • Great all around travel shoe
Wore these on a trip to Italy. Light enough profile so can be worn with shorts, casual skirt, on beach and hiking. Used them on the steep, often slippery and challenging trails of cinque terre - excellent traction, very comfortable. Hiked or walked 7+ miles daily in these shoes, no problems. Even wore them in a torrential downpour while walking to/waiting for a bus with no shelter - water drained quickly, and they dried quickly, I wear a 9, bought a 9, but should have probably gotten a .9.5 - one of my toes is longer than the others, it hits the front of the shoe on downhill slopes. This is a good shoe for those of us with wide feet - nice wide toe box, Very happy with this purchase. Wont hesitate to get another pair when the time comes. ... show more

  • From Airport To The Rapids
I bought these shoes because I needed a good travel shoe, a hiking AND water shoe. I didn't realize I needed this until I saw an advertisement for a similar shoe which was over $100. I have Chacos (sandals) and hiking boots. Both good for some water but needed something to cover my toes without the bulk. These shoes were great. They were comfortable through the airport, and the next day I wore them white water rafting on a Class 1-3 river in CO. I liked the size when they were dry but were a little too big when I wore them on the river. I should have ordered down a size (I wear a 10 with ortho insert and could have ordered a 9.0 instead of a 9.5.) The shoe is super light weight and has good traction on the bottom. We had to hike through some water to get to the Falls we were trying to reach and worked well for this too, and they dried quickly so I didn't have to change shoes nor soak the floor mat. I normally wear an insert in my workout shoes but didn't notice any problems without the inserts while wearing these. I'm not saying they were major supportive, but the padded insert was definitely comfortable enough. I also did not get any blisters and I wasn't wearing them with socks either. If I were to make any changes to this shoe it might be to change the laces to zip-tie vs shoe string style. I folded the excess laces under the front of the laces by the toes and it worked just fine for slipping on and off but would have preferred not to have to do that. (Yes, I do know that you can buy those types of laces separate but many other shoes like these, at the same price, don't make you do that.) To be fair, I will say I haven't bought any other pairs and do not know if they are as good as these otherwise so maybe buying the laces separate may be worth it. It's hard to tell how a shoe will work and try not to get sucked into all the "pretty colors" different brands have to offer. Either way, I definitely thought they were worth what I paid. Good Luck! ... show more

  • Very comfortable & lightweight
I bought these 3 years ago because a friend recommended for all hike that crosses a creek numerous times & 7 miles. She did say wear shoes & I did. Wonderful hike due to these shoes. With socks they are hard to get on (very) but once they are on - they are perfect. Sort of a stretchy material. So 3 years later & just went on a week vacation & didn't want to wear my heavy hiking shoes. I brought these & wore them daily & still love them! Very comfortable! Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Comfy in a pinch and a great value!
I was looking for a new hiking shoe under $50 for a trip to Joshua Tree National Park. I didn’t have time to shop in person, nor did I have enough time to wait 5-10 days for an online order to arrive. I took a chance and ordered the grey & pink colorway in a size 7. My feet are pretty average and range in size between a 7 and 7.5. These hiking sneakers arrived quickly and fit perfectly! They held up great stepping onto and across the large boulders of Joshua Tree (and dried quickly after a rain storm passed through)…see photo my 2-year old took. In the same trip we took the Palm Springs aerial tram up to the top of Mt. San Jacinto and walked around in the snow at the top which had fallen the night before. Oddly enough, my feet stayed warm and dry and they had great grip…I didn’t slip once! I plan on using them as my regular, light hiking sneakers. I don’t know how they would hold up on tougher terrain, but they were great in the Southern California desert, and would work well on a marked trail. ... show more

  • Comfortable for Walking...sort of
The tred on these is great and they're nice and breathable. But the laces sit very high and rub onto the skin...I cannot imagine these being at all comfortable without socks. The toe box is very wide...too wide for my narrow foot. Felt like I was wearing clown shoes...but a better fit if you have a wide foot, I think. The sole is cushy and comfortable for walking but it cannot stand up to a full day of hiking on uneven ground in my opinion. Make it a walking shoe... ... show more

  • Still holding up!
To prepare for a trip to AZ and UT, I spend a great deal of time researching inexpensive water shoes. I was looking for a pair that were rubber soled (for maximum grip), sturdy, fast drying, meant to be submerged in water for a longer period of time, comfortable and for wide feet. These shoes have all of that! These have been worn for about 8/9 hours on 3 seperate occasions. Slide Rock State Park in Sedona- worked amazing, I didn't slip once on the rocks. Kayaking Lake Powell in Sedona- we didn't take the the hike and paddle hike, but I am confident these would have done great. Zion National Park in Utah- great hiking shoes and BEST type of water shoes for the Narrows! I never lost my footing and the shoes stayed on. All and all very comfortable, I tend to be picky because I have a size 10 wide foot. The only negative thing is, they were a little difficult to get on. It's a stretchy opening, and I had to work my feet in a bit. Remember I have a big foot, and this may not be the case for everyone. ... show more

  • Wow! Just Wow!
Size: 8 Color: Red
UPDATED REVIEW: Hiked into the jungles of Belize, wore these through rivers, swam through caves, climbed rocks and boulders inside the caves, trekked through mud and climbed the ruins. These shoes do it all comfortably, and came out spotless with a little clean water. Take out the insoles to clean thoroughly, then pop them back in when dry. I absolutely Love these hiking/water shoes, mostly because they feel like regular comfy tennis shoes. Highly Recommend! Initial Review: Received these yesterday and fell in love with the style and the color. Color was exactly as expected. I ordered the red, which in the pictures appears to be a red/coral color and that’s exactly what I received. I wanted something vibrant and these did not disappoint. I ordered my normal US Size 8 and they fit perfectly! I have an average width foot and there is plenty of room in the toe box. I wore them working around the house for 6+ hours and they couldn’t be more comfortable. I wore them without socks, as I purchased them for a Belize trip hiking through the jungle, crossing rivers, and caves. I wanted more of a tennis/hiking type of water shoe and these really look and feel the part, down to the actual laces instead of those pull strings. They have rubber soles with good grippers, which I believe will be an added benefit on wet, dry, muddy, and/or rocky terrain. They feel like regular tennis shoes and I will probably wear them for more than just traveling. I haven’t worn them in water yet, and I will update after doing so, but I believe these are going to be the perfect purchase for our trip! Best water shoes I’ve ever purchased! ... show more
