  • Great Value!
Product works as advertised and balanced my tires. I had a local repair shop install these when they put on my new tires. Be sure to remove the outer bag and toss inner bag into the tire before the bead is seated. I have 18” alloy wheels that are pretty wide, so getting a good balance has always been difficult. Not so anymore. I highly recommend these. -Chris ... show more

  • Fixed my fat tire scooter ride...mostly
So, I must admit, I was skeptical. Beads that go to the opposite side of the wheel where the imbalance is kinda goes against my initial outlook. My scooter has the giant 'fat tire' on it. They're about 18" in diameter and about 9" or more wide. The tires would bounce at about 15mph and again about 25mph, pretty bad. I tried balancing the front wheel using the classic technique for balancing a motorcycle tire, & the tire need 100g(!) of weight to balance...when I tried it on the scooter, it improved the ride quite a bit, but my vibration was still there. According the the AI on google, 8oz of beads are recommended for my fat tires. I purchased this 18oz bag of beads and put 1/2 in each tire. I removed the weights first, of course. Its quite a challenge to get the little beads into the valve stem, but I used a small funnel, some heat shrink, & about 15lbs or air pressure to get the job done. At 15mph and below, its really smoothed out. At higher speeds, the front tire was worse...until I hit a bump...and suddenly...it smoothed out about 80%. I've observed this occurance over and over while riding, its not a fluke. Its so dependable that if I'm going to go along at higher speeds, I look for the bump in the road on purpose to smoot out my ride...until I stop and all the beads settle to the bottom of the tire & I have to start over. I think there's something in the tire that causes the beads to 'pile up' and when I hit the bump I dislodge them and then they can do their job. I'm wondering if the previous owner put some tire patch goo in the tire or something and that may be my problem. When moving the scooter by hand, very slowly, you can hear the beads move inside the tires. I've been listening to see if I can hear some type of interior obstacle, but so far, I can't. I think this product works great and I think my scooter tires are big and unevenly made and I was able to improve my ride using these little beads. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Total gimmick
I tried my honest best to give this product a chance but it simply DOES NOT WORK as good as standard balancing. My first attempt was with a set of wheels that had lost their weights and were already imbalanced.. tried the beads and there was little to no improvement, truck still wobbled like crazy.. i figured okay well this vehicle spends alot of time offorad so maybe the wheels have some damage. Bought a brand new set of wheels and tires, had them balanced normally at a shop and the truck drove smooth again, well except for when id get mud in the rims which would happen often and this product claims to automatically adjust for that issue when it happens so i figured why not give it another chance. I bought and installed them and cleaned the wheels and tires well just for testing purposes. Immediately after installing the beads the wheels were horribly imbalanced and reduced my fuel milage almost 5 mpg!!! I thought okay well, maybe ill try and pull the lead weights off as i saw several people do that in the reviews and well.. you can probably guess it didnt work baised on the title of my review. After the weights were removed the beads worked between about 20mph ~ 60mph before 20 you can feel a little wobble as they find their place after 60 they vibrate my truck horribly as if the wheels were nor balanced atall. I also notice that when they are working if im going around any kind of bend tight enough the beads will shift and the vehicle will vibrate again like i dont even have it balanced until im back in a straight line. So after hours of my time installing and uninstalling this garbage and over 200$ in balancing fees at the shop and of corse the 50$ i wasted on this gimmick of a product i can safely say that this product might work okay givin you drive everywhere under 60mph in a straight line but if you want your wheels balanced properly go to a trusted alignment or tire shop and just have it done normally, save yourself the hassle!! As most cheap alternatives go, its never as good as the correct method of fixing somthing, and these "balancing" beads are yet another product that keeps that statement factual! ... show more

  • Bead balance issues
Bought these beads before with great success. This time wasn't so great. Bought 4 brand new tires for my 16 gmc sierra and decided to purchase the beads in question. Dropped the bags off desired amount into each tire and mounted them. Had a vibration that would come and go, sometimes it would get really bad, then not to bad. Didn't think much of it, but after 150 miles I got fed up. Went back to work and dismounted all 4 tires and see. Well 2 of the 4 bags didn't open and had a bundle of beads stuck in a section of the disposable bags. Sucks because directions say to use the thin bad that's supposed to disintegrate after wheels speed up for certain amount of time. So I would suggest you pour them into tire just before mounting the tire on the rim, that way no bad inside tire. And no chance they got stuck in the bag. Good product otherwise , I have used them before without fail. But sometimes it happens. Picture of partial open bag in pic attached. ... show more

  • Save your money and balance your wheels with good tires
You need to de-bead the tires and drop a bag inside the rim. Then, remove the weights and it should do the trick. It didn't, do as well as expected. Instead, I had a shop vacuum the beads out, balance the wheels, and my Ram2500 drives perfectly.

  • Easy enough to install, don’t open up after weeks of driving
Bags don’t seem to have opened up as intended after several weeks of driving it, and I’m left with a bad balancing shake on the steering wheel. Unhappy with my purchase
