These magnetic hitch pins seem to work as described. I remember seeing them a few years back but couldn't find in the local farm stores anymore. Not sure why, but I think they are great for an old back not having to deal with cotter pins on light duty loads. Takes a little "umph" to pull them, but I like it's a one-handed task!

This has a fairly strong magnet which does a good job if keeping it in place. The hitch pin attached to it is larger than some that come with various tractor attachments, so you need to make sure it is not too large for your tractor and any attachments you already own.

Bought this to attach a tow-behind sprayer to my lawn tractor. Attaches really quickly, and the strong magnet makes it super secure. Has a cotter pin for extra security if needed, but I didn't find any need for the additional hold given the magnets.
