Great exhaust, gives a deep rumble without drone (once its broken in). The exhaust makes a great noise and has a noticeable power increase; I was really surprised by that. The clamps need to be way tight to ensure no leaks are present, otherwise it is quite loud. It droned for the first 100 miles and then slowly has quieted down as the carbon has built up. I have about 700 miles on it and I love the way it sounds. I did a 400 mile road trip comfortably with it, if I wasn't listening for a difference, I doubt I would have noticed on the freeway. Do yourself a favor on the install and buy a pair of exhaust hanger pliers to make the job quick and frustration free. ... show more

Amazon had this at my door in less than 3 days! I chose to have it installed by my mechanic because I have a bad wrist from an accident. It went on quick, it's a bit grunty for the first 20-30 miles till the carbon builds up but then it's as smooth and deep as an M3. I love it. Lots of folks have pulled me over to ask me what pipes they are. Now these are not super loud but not quiet either. Best thing about these, NO DRONE!!! ... show more

Really happy! installed on stock downpipe and the result is classic magnaflow, no drone and nice tone in town with a strong note when putting your foot into it! If you want loud look elsewhere or do a downpipe, header and cat delete. If you want quality and tone that fits a stock GTI this is a well made system that is easy to install and adjust. ... show more

DO NOT BUY!!! Not real stainless. I’m bought this exhaust less than 2 years ago and it is full of rust. Even the muffler/baffle is rusted through on the seams and is leaking exhaust and is rattling. I expected a lot more from magnaflo. This is exactly why I specifically tried to buy a full stainless exhaust so I would never have these problems again. ... show more

I have a stage 2 apr tuned mk6 gti....I installed this exhaust for less than a month before I took it off and returned it.....the most drone I've EVER heard, granted I DO have a cat less downpipe....but I have a custom built exhaust now....

Tone is excellent. Sounds really good when you put your foot into it, quieter around town and no drone whatsoever on the highway. Had a slight fitment issue with the system rubbing/vibrating against the cars subframe, but with a little tweaking and shifting it around everythings peachy.
