  • Follow directions when working with ANY steamer,
as good as a steamer of this capacity can be expected to Be. a steamer takes user skill to get the result one is seeking. works well on steaming my 100% cotton uniforms that always wrinkle even when the fabric says wrinkle free. Be careful with distane of your steamer if your fabrics have ANY polyester or plastics IN them, you must be at a safe distance then make sure you are pullling the fabric at its end to make it taut to get the best result with the least heat. i use this on synthetic wigs also to refresh frayed ends. ALWAYS with caution. read the directions when working with steam. PLEASE be sure to understand you are working with boiled water and user Error can cause damage to YOUR home or other property by using steam NEAR walls furniture, fixtures. carpets etc. with SO many household items made with adhesives and plastics YOU can ruin something if you do NOT take caution to use your steamer on fabrics wigs and clothing AWAY from items that can be damaged. I see too many reviews of ALL steamers that are not reviews of the product but complaints about their own user error. ... show more

  • Im really steamed about this!
This is my second steamer. The first, a different brand, was heavy. I couldnt use it and returned it. This one is light weight and does about two garments per fill. Thankfully it has a pretty long cord. There is a learning curve so start on a less delicate fabric as until you figure it out it spits profusely. Dont use it until it is completely done boiling and maybe even, use less water. I have an ironing fetish. I love the feel of material and the look of it crisp, somewhat like a piece of artwork to me. But, like others report, its not practical so thought to try yet again with a steamer. I successfully steamed three blazers, a dress, pantsuit and a blouse in about an hour. Each material handles differently but I stayed persistant and am more comfortable using a steamer now. I feel it did a good job, and I dont think my garments were harmed. I dont like the shiny look of material after ironing so this solves that problem. ... show more

  • Will overheat, but still a good machine
I have used this little machine for a couple of months. It's great to travel with, small, lightweight. However, I also used it to de-wrinkle blackout curtains. It does a great job even on heavy weight fabric. BUT it will overheat if you refill it to keep working more than once. So you can use it, refill it and continue, but if you try to fill it a 2nd time, it overheats and boiling water comes spewing out, burning your hand and getting all over the floor. I learned (through trial and error) that it is only a little machine and it will overheat the water. So it has its limitations. I let it cool down completely after two rounds of steaming. I think that's fair. ... show more

  • Works Great
The product was shipped and arrived as specified. My wife borrowed our daughter's and it work great. I ordered a new one and we haven't had a chance to try the new one we received. If it works like our daughter's, that would be fantastic. Thank you in advance!

  • Long dresses + wrinkles have met their match
Growing up my mom loved to iron. I did not inherit that love. But I do like to look pressed and put together. And the Magictec steamer does the job! It's pretty idiot-proof, but for those of us new to steamers, here are some general steamer safety tips: make sure that the top is screwed on correctly (there are little notches to line up and then a simple twist and it's secure). Again, for newbies, be very careful where the nozzle is pointing in relation to your fingers as it heats up fast! and steam burns are a real thing. (be aware of other items that could also be in the blast zone- my bathroom mirror fogs where the steam hits it, so don't use near wallpaper, or unframed prints, etc.) But this is also good as it gets out stubborn wrinkles from clothes. And be careful as you hold your garment as duh, steam travels upward, so don't do it while distracted not aware of where the stream of steam is, lest your fingers bear the brunt of your (my) carelessness. It's small and relatively lightweight. I'm traveling out of state soon for a wedding and bringing a long dress that won't survive the trip even remotely wrinkle resistant, so this will be great for smoothing out my outfit when I need it! The reservoir doesn't hold a lot of water, but it's enough for 1-2 shirts, a long dress or a pair of pants, which is all I need it for. Great first-time steamer. ... show more

  • Ehh.. not as expected
The steamer is small which is good and bad. It would be great for travel, but I’d prefer something larger for everyday use. I got through about 3 shirts before the water ran out. Pros: - compact for travel/ packable - works okay (better on cotton fabric) - see left side of pink shirt picture versus black shirt photo - cord is decent length Cons: - it’s VERY difficult to see how much water is left due to the black “window”, which makes it more difficult to use and is annoying to fill - overall smaller than I’d prefer - didn’t work on one of the three shirts I tested (see black long sleeve photo) - a random rubber band fell out when unpacking and I can’t determine where it goes Overall disappointed and will likely return. It works, but it’s not amazing. ... show more

  • Not Safe – No Auto Shut-Off
Not Safe – No Auto Shut-Off I’m disappointed with this steamer. It’s a basic on/off unit—no safety features at all. You pour the water in, wait for it to reach a rolling boil, and then run it over your wrinkled clothes. But here’s the problem: once it’s on, it stays on. There’s no auto shut-off, so if you walk away or forget about it, it just keeps heating. That’s a real safety concern. You absolutely cannot leave it unattended—not even for a minute. For the price, I expected better safety features. I wouldn’t recommend this one. ... show more
