  • Good choice.
These work great and are easy to hold on to.

  • Great on thin ice
I live in an area that doesn’t get much snow nor thick ice. However, we often get a thin layer of ice on the car windows. Regular scrappers just don’t work very well on thin ice and I lack the patience to sit in the car and wait so I gave this a try this morning. This funny little item took care of the ice fast and easily. It’s easy to hold and much less pressure is required than flat scrapers. Also the footprint is larger so more ice is cleared per swipe. This is day one so we shall see how it ages but I am impressed so far. ... show more

  • Works Surprisingly Well
Even though the reviews were good, I was still skeptical about how well these would work. I had some ice on my car the other morning, so I gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised! It clears the ice easily and without a lot of effort. You don't need to use a lot of force, but you'll need to go over some areas a few times to clear everything away. I used this on my windshield but also on my side windows and rear window. A lot of ice accumulates inside the cone, but I just tapped it on the top of my car to get the majority of the ice out. It doesn't get everything, so you'll have some water in your car once the rest melts unless you have another way to clean it off. But I wasn't bothered by this. The one "complaint" I have is the top has "spikey" protrusions. They are supposed to help if you need to break up any thick ice. But that is also where I have to hold onto the scraper. You don't need a lot of pressure, but you do have to press down some when using it, so the spikes can dig into your hand a bit. This may be less of an issue if I had on thick gloves though. Overall, not a huge concern. I've only used it once so far, so I'll update again later once I've used it more to comment on durability. ... show more

  • Great product but poor quality construction
Works great until they don’t. I was using them to clear off multiple vehicles windshields at the dealership I worked at and it started falling apart after the 5th car windshield. Worked great for light frost most mornings.

  • As others have said, it broke the first time I used it.
The only saving grace of these things is that they were cheap, so no great loss on my part, and that they at least have a decent look to them. Other than that, these are the absolute WORST ice scrapers I have ever used. Now, as some have said before, they work great on hard snow/soft ice/thin ice, but anything beyond that, CRACK! They break. There is even a small end piece that has hard plastic spikes on it that you put on the end of the hand grip that's supposed to be used for scraping/breaking the ice up, but it doesn't stay in place and falls off and on the ground while you're trying to use it. Are these easy to use? Yes, but you're better off getting a real ice scraper that can extend for a longer reach and has an actual blade on it. These are junk. Do NOT waste your money on these. ... show more

  • Sturdy
We have not had the need to use this yet. But seems sturdy

  • Works here in Buffalo
What I love most about this ice eating monster is you don't have to worry about hitting your car windshield's weatherstripping with a corner, edge or metal that would damage it. It eats snow like crazy and I'm done clearing my windows and driving to work much faster than my neighbors. In fact I felt so guilty getting it done so fast, I bought some for my neighbors too. That should tell you that they were also an excellent price. Only caveat is to wear gloves because ice gets all over your hand because there is not long handle. Great device. ... show more

  • Works ok - does not surpass handheld scraper on the ultimate test
This was inexpensive so I got it to give it a try. We had a case of rain, wet snow, snow, wet snow then cold freeze. We were going skiing the next morning for a day trip, so I continually cleaned off one of my cars to do a day trip of skiing. The scraper on the end of the brush was easy to get this car road worthy the next morning. The other car, I did not touch until we got home from skiing that night. The windshield, windows and back hatch was a combination of frozen snow and ice. I thought it would be the ultimate test of a scrapers worth. First up was the Magical Scraper. This did you a relatively good job of removing the frozen snow, but never got through the base layer, scraping the glass completely clean. Nor could it remove the beads of ice frozen to the glass, the magical cone just bounced off it. The other side scratched up the icy residue that was under the frozen snow. But when I flipped it back to the cone, it did not remove that final layer. I switched to my trusty had ice scraper and it finished the job without issue. I also tested it on a couple of the windows I had not touched with the magical cone and it blasted through the ice and frozen snow. I am sure this would work fine in typical snow or frost, but it did not work on the ultimate test so I cannot recommend it for the variable weather of New England. I did not have the car running or defrost when I ran this test purposely. ... show more
