    • Great book, but maybe not for a beginner
I love this book. It has many wonderful paintings you can follow along with, and includes the basic colors, but may not be for the beginner to oil paintings. It's not really a step by step guide as the Bob Ross books tend to be. It does not say what colors to use for what layers, or even how to paint said layers, nor does it say if any colors should be mixed for what elements. However, it's great if you're already rather familiar with the process, and gives you enough information to reasonably recreate some of these amazing pieces of art. ... show more
