I just used it for the first time this last weekend. I only put in a small ice pack and my items stayed nice and cold all day. Love that it folds flat for storage. The zippers were hard to pull/stiff the first few times but are working betters with use. The size was exactly what I needed. Love the top foil pocket. I used it to keep a thermos with hot water inside and it fit with no problem and helped keep the water hot. Also like that it has the front pocket. Perfect for napkins and utensils. I didn't use loose ice so can't say how leakproof it is, but with the condensation from the drinks and ice pack, there was no sign of leakage. Super light weight and glad it has the shoulder strap. This cooler is very good quality. We used this cooler for a road trip during the Eclipse (Apr 2024) packing snacks in all the pockets. The amount of storage is excellent, pockets on all sides, except for the bottom. The cooler itself has separate storage compartment on top for the ice packs; the cooler is able to fit a full-size wine bottle, large water bottle (liter size), etc. I was easily able to pack cans, bottles, fruit, yogurt, cheese, etc. with ease. We wanted a cooler to take in our checked bag on vacation. It squished down to a reasonable size. We liked having the zippered part at the top where we put ice and a knife. We found that having the bag on the beach was perfect. The ice kept everything cold. Yes it does leak or sweat a little through the bottom but anything fabric is going to do that. You might want to put something colored on the zipper poles so you know which one is the actual container and which one is the top part ... show more

Time will tell regarding leak proof stars--I have only used it once and not for long duration to see what happens when the ice melts. I bought it a few months ago. Unfortunately, the trip I was planning back then was canceled, and I finally put it to good use last week on a Disney trip. One of the reasons I bought this was the height of the cooler -- long bottle friendly! (wine bottles/smart water/or 2 stacks of cans). It doesn't have the hard plastic liner, which is a plus or a minus based on what you want. I wanted something that I can fold and put away, so that was a big plus. Performance-wise, it provided a chilling beverage throughout a sunny, hot Florida day in Disney only with those icepaks and a bucket of ice from the hotel. The ice melted a bit toward the day's end, but it did not leak. It comes with a shoulder strap. But, considering the amount of things you can put inside this cooler, it is not really practical. Your shoulder will be murdered in 10 minutes. We had a cart during our trip. The side handles were very sturdy, though. I could easily move the cooler with beverages (40 lb+) using the side handles very reliably. Very well made. ... show more

I bought this to keep in my car after buying groceries when I have other stops to make before going home. I noticed when I went to use it the second time that on the inside of the cooler there were several cuts in the lining on one side of the cooler. Honestly if it was like this when I bought it I really don't know but if it happened after putting a few items in there the first time then I honestly wonder how long it will last me in the long run no more then I will use it. What I loved about this cooler was the different compartments. You don't have to just put everything into one space and wonder if things that don't need to be chilled will get too cold. You have a separate compartment to snacks and sandwiches and then the larger space is for the items to be iced. Zippered pockets on the side are great for keys, cash, IDs, etc. This is wonderful for long car rides if you don't want to stop and spend money on expensive meals.
