Just got it. Came on time. I got the orange one. It seems to be a pretty good back pack. Zippers seem a little light but ok. Lots of pockets. Nice size. Can organize stuff in the different pockets. It's light. Can fit alot in it. Good functionality and able to go a lot of different places. Seems pretty sturdy. Seems pretty good for the price. If you need a back pack now or in the future I would buy it now!

This, is a very nice backpack. Plenty of pockets inside and out, lots of zippered pockets, the shoulder straps looks comfortable, there are about 6 different locking clips and 22 clips that I'm not sure about. It also has a water resistant cover stored in the bottom of backpack. Looks very sturdy.

I am 5’ 11” and this pack claims to be a large but is too small. If I wear it where the straps are comfortable, the hip belt is around my belly. If I adjust so that it sits properly on my hips, the helper straps are down behind my shoulders. My wife is 5’3” and the pack is too large for her. Ideal size must be somewhere in between us Pros are that it has lots of pockets for organization. I particularly love the pockets in the hip belt. I keep snacks in one and my battery backup in the other. Currently set up with a 3L hydration bladder and there’s plenty of room. Zippers and material have held up nicely for multiple day hikes Used the rain cover on one rainy hike and my gear stayed dry Overall great quality for the price, just wish it fit better My plan is to purchase an external frame and attach this pack to it

The Maelstrom blue backpack is an absolute winner! 🌟 I used it for two full days of adventure at Disneyland, and it performed beautifully. What stood out right away was how many pockets it had—perfect for organizing everything. I could easily separate my glasses and gloves, pack clothing, and store tons of snacks while still having quick access to everything. In the main compartment alone, I fit two heavy-duty jackets and three 1-gallon bags of snacks without any struggle. Getting in and out of it was a breeze. The front lower strap even had extra storage, which was ideal for smaller items like beef sticks and fruit roll-ups. This high quality and spacious backpack fit my smaller frame comfortably, which is a big deal since so many backpacks can feel bulky. One side pocket held my iPhone 13 Pro perfectly—and while it wouldn’t fit a portable charger at the same time, either item fit individually with no issue. The photo shows the backpack weighs less than two pounds empty. Overall, the Maelstrom backpack is lightweight, heavy-duty, and incredibly well-designed. I highly recommend it for travel, theme parks, or daily adventures.

I've used this backpack on about 5 hikes so far. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, the number of pockets, and the feel on my shoulders and back. I especially like the pockets on waist belt - perfect for easy access to dog treats and human snacks.

I bought this specifically for the waist pockets — easy phone access while hiking without taking the pack off. That didn't pan out. My Samsung S22 Ultra doesn't fit. The waist pockets are about a half inch too short. If you're using a large phone for trail navigation, that's a dealbreaker. I'll probably return the pack. The waist belt also runs extra long. If you're a larger size, it will probably accommodate you, but I'll probably cut it and burn the ends to keep it from fraying. It's just too long to let hang as is. Everything else is solid. Good storage, organized layout, nothing feels cheap. But the main reason I bought it doesn't work for me, so I'm likely sending it back. Good pack that fails at the one of the primary things I needed it for.
