Why did you pick this product vs others?: I need something with a larger capacity to complement my current cooler backpack. This backpack feels solid and the straps feel like they can handle a decent load based on my last grocery run. I do like that there are multiple storage pockets with zippers. The main compartment zipper was tight at first but feels smoother after a few uses. One thing that I would like to see is a larger, more robust carrying handle on top. If it lasts as long as my old backpack then I will be satisfied. ... show more

Bought this on June 21st for a 4th of July beach week. I'll give it 1 star for delivery but that is where the positives end. It sat in my house for a week waiting to be used. I got to the beach on June 29th. Loaded the cooler with drinks and ice and started walking to the beach. Immediately felt something cold and wet on my back. Surely it couldn't be from my brand new back pack cooler. I looked up to see if water was dropping on me from a tree. Nope..dry as can be so I kept walking. Got to the beach, set the cooler down and began my vacation. At the end of the day I picked it up and put on my back. The sand was wet under the bag. No way my brand new backpack cooler could cause that. One of the kids must have spilt their water. Get back to the room and start unloading the remaining drinks. Soon as I got them out and dumped the ice in the sink I Immediately saw a huge rip in the inner liner.. pictures included. Luckily I still have a week on my return. Normally I would give the product the benefit of doubt and assume I had bad luck. I would send back and wait for a new one. Unfortunately the beach season is over so if I order a replacement, I wouldn't use it for almost a year. Sending this thing back for a full refund. ... show more

Nice features, solid construction, good insulation, a lot of easily accessed storage compartments. However, it has a design flaw that makes it very uncomfortable to carry for more than maybe 15 minutes. Coolers are used to carry heavier, more dense items like ice or ice packs, liquids, and perishable food. Therefore something even this small gets very heavy easily - much moreso than if it was packed with clothing. The ad pictures loaded with cans are VERY heavy. All that weight is supported only at the shoulders - somewhat like carrying a large child on your shoulders until it gets too much and you need a break. That's what this feels like within 10 minutes carrying a gallon of water, a quart of ice, a few small ice packs, and about 6 small containers of food. It is an absolute requirement that a padded waist strap be added to this. It also needs more substantial shoulders straps: wider and thicker padding. A more comfortable (thick, padded) and better-placed (top center) handle be added to allow another comfortable carrying option that doesn't dig into your hand. NO ONE IS HIKING WITH THIS! Note that in my searches on Amazon, I find none with a waist strap yet many comments that one is needed. Finally, to help you consider my comments, I am male, 5' 9"", 175 lbs, fit and relatively strong. I find my age -- 57 -- makes me much less tolerant of discomfort and bad ergonomics but doctors have told me my fitness is similar to a man in his 30s. ... show more
