WARNING: This is a SLIP COVER for your duvet/comforter. Okay, I'll admit that I should have read everything a little more thoroughly. However, where I'm from you hear people call comforters--blankets or COVERS. And honestly, I never even knew it was also called a duvet until recently. So when I read the description as a duvet cover set, I thought I would get the decorative pillows, 2 pillow shams, and the cover (i.e., blanket). Boy, how I was wrong. I didn't even know they made slip covers for blankets. Lesson learned. Don't get me wrong, I love the color, design, and fabric material. They're the main reasons why I paid more than I normally would have for a bed set. The problem I have is the use of language in the title description. It assumes that we all understand what is meant by "duvet cover" without taking into consideration regional usage and dialects. This looks amazing in our new master bedroom! Neither of us just love the color blue, but funny how nice this turned out (our master bath is now navy blue too! haha!). Love the look and feel of this duvet. Super soft and looks way more expensive than it was. Would definitely recommend and buy again!

I have waited a year to provide a review of this product as I wanted to see how it would wear. I am happy to report that this item is just wonderful. The pattern is very floral, but not girly or granny like. The gray background brings an air of sophistication and the purple in the flowers shows fun. The overall impression is very romantic. Even my husband likes it. The quality of materials is exceptional. The cotton has a nice hand and has gotten softer with several washes. The craftsmanship is good, without loose threads, splitting seams, etc. and has held up over time. The duvet cover has corner ties to secure the comforter inside, but my comforter does not. This has not been a problem as the comforter has stayed in place. There are nine (yes nine) buttons at the bottom of the cover to close the opening. I love this feature as with only 5-7 buttons (and no corner ties) your comforter pokes out of the gaps between buttons. Not so with this cover. The pillows are very nice, particularly the white rectangle. I would highly recommend this duvet cover set. It is a quality product for a fair price. ... show more

I ordered this thinking a duvet would be thinner and lighter than a comforter. When I took it out of the package, the duvet was as thin as a flat sheet. So I go back and reread the description and it’s a duvet cover and you’ll need an insert. Ok - I ordered an insert, it gets here and it’s now a comforter. It’s just as thick, was really difficult to get inserted (cause I had to do it by myself). I am also very disappointed with the color. The picture depicts a light gray and purples. What I got was gray and purple. Much darker than the picture and kind of ugly in my honest opinion. The only good things about this item are the deco pillows (those are really pretty) and the fact that you can remove the duvet cover and wash it. Much easier than washing a comforter. ... show more

    • Looks Nice, but What a Hassle!

The set looks nice, but on my 2nd request for replacement pieces due to defects. First, the white pillow with embroidery on it had the fuscia color all on the white, so Amazon had to send a whole set just to switch the pillow. Then we set it up, I noticed the duvet cover was ripped on the seam. I was going to try and sew it by hand, but don't think it will hold, I waited a long time for a new set, want it to last, so Amazon has to send me another full set to just switch the duvet cover. It's coming on Thursday. This will be the last time. My last set was about 20 years old, how can this be made so poorly? They deal with it without any problem, but becoming annoying for me and my husband. I am in ill health with a chronic illness, so need help from my husband, and to keep washing, removing, etc. is not easy for me. Hope this is the last time, next it gets returned and refunded. ... show more

It looks exactly as pictured. Had to iron it once washed after buying, it got very wrinkled. Once ironed though it’s doesn’t wrinkle as much. Not super soft but comfortable. The quality is there. Very well made. A little over price since I have bought on amazon a different set for about 30 dollars less. But the color combination is hard to find without it it begin to much on the flowery side. I bought this on sale - sadly I wouldnt pay the regular price of $125 for it - but for $75 it was worth it! Very soft, easy to put over the comforter, and the closure is well made to keep the comforter from "leaking" out of the end. The color is beautiful and exactly as pictured. I have not had to wash it yet so if anything changes I'll update this review. ... show more

It is very heavy and I have a light comforter. It doesn’t breathe well either. It does keep the comforter inside in place unlike most I have used. It looks gorgeous.
