This is a great little shelf unit that will work for my purpose. It was easy to assemble and I really like that it has enough leveling feet and endcaps to make 2 shorter units. A couple of the shelves had chipped coating where the posts connect but as the shelf is black, I am sure I am the only one who will know. As a single unit it is too tall for my purpose of setting it on the counter, but that was easily corrected by just using 3 of the 4 post sections. I like that the shelf heights are adjustable. My only issue is the way the shelves are put together. I am using this in my kitchen to elevate my toaster oven off the counter to more easily wipe crumbs from underneath. Having a little extra storage is an added bonus. My toaster oven is basically the same depth as the shelves, but since the shelves are put together like a tray with a upward lip around the edge and can not be flipped, it does not sit flat on the shelf. I have many other similar heavy duty chrome shelves in the basement and the lip on those shelves in down, so the shelf is completely flat allowing anything that is slightly deeper than the shelf to still sit flat. For the upward lip and the chipped paint, I took off one star, but am still happy with the unit and will have to find a solution to elevate my toaster oven above the lip.

Metal and plastic do not work together. The metal shelves and metal poles arrived in excellent condition. This thing comes with plastic clips that snap off as you're trying to secure them together on the pole (per instructions). I even tried using vice grips to get the clips to snap together but nope: they popped off the pole and flew in a different direction. The instructions state that you have to "gently" tap the clips into the corners of each shelf: I never got beyond one, because the clips popped off in a different direction from where I was attempting assembly. I had to return (which I got nailed with a restocking fee). I would not recommend this product (as is) and would not buy this again (as is)

Shelves are perfect for their purpose in our cellar stairwell. Exactly enough space and sturdy enough to hold all my fish tank supplies. The main thing I don’t like is that the shelves themselves seem upside down to me. There is a small lip (1-1.5”) around each shelf that on other sets I’ve bought is around the shelf facing down. On these it faces up so items that might be a little bit large for the shelf won’t sit flat and extend over the edge, they’ll be tilted a little. If they need a flat base these may not be the shelves for you. The instructions don’t make this clear so putting them together was a bit confusing at first. That and the day after I ordered them however the price dropped $3 and change. That’s always annoying.

Entire top half rods missing. Package had been opened and re-packed. Did not notice I did not have necessary TOP portions of Shelf until I had everything opened and prepared to Assemble. What I HAD was 2 BOTTOMs… with feet. No way to connect. A CRUSHing Disappointment. Extreme time crunch. and had already been waiting a week for Delivery. IMPOSSIBLE TO REPACK all the posts and tiny parts… so… return was out. No choice but to “make do” with what I had. Shame. REALLY GOOD Unit. Fullfillment (from whomever) REALLY let a loyal and frequent Amazon Customer down.

For my extra paper goods and bathroom stuff this shelf works perfectly in that super narrow closet in my bathroom. But this claims it could hold 500lbs.. I have a 55gallon fish tank and in no way shape or form could this shelf even hold the Gravel that is in the tank let alone 500lbs of anything.. If I put too much pressure with my arms these shelves would give way with the design.. So for my light duty purpose it works super well. Just don't expect it to hold lots of weight because it definitely won't.
