  • Love it for multi instrument recording in a home studio.
Style: FX+ (Bluetooth) Configuration: 12-Channel
Newbie home recording studio guy here. Probably not how many are using this thing but.... Only been using the Mackie ProFX12V3 for a couple days now. It's my first mixing board and I'm still figuring some things out but it's working for what I intended it for. I'm permanently plugging in several instruments and mics all on their own separate lines so I can set the levels I need for each instrument to what i like then record each one into my DAW as I need them, all while keeping everything plugged in. I can just grab an instrument and Unmute what line I need as I need it. This way, my cables stay neat and out of my way and I can quickly go from doing vocals to ukulele to piano to lead guitar without plugging and unplugging stuff all the time. Talk about home recording studio work flow! It's been a game changer for me. ... show more

  • Solid inexpensive mixer
Style: FX+ (Bluetooth) Configuration: 12-Channel
24/192 The audio output is good. Listening to various audio tracks and comparing it to DACs/AMP's I own, it keeps up. I've tested a couple of the tracks and the faders, buttons, and knobs work as expected. Once I downloaded and installed the USB Drivers, the USB-C interface worked flawlessly. Compressor was mentioned by another user, it does work, just extremely subtle in its effect, to the point it is worthless. I've tested out the other effects and they work. For input, I tried the SM7B with a CloudLifter. It does introduce noise but its not overwhelming. I haven't tried using the SM7B without the cloud, but I'll update once I give it a chance. Right now I'm just getting it setup. Power cable was a bit short for my needs, not the end of the world but I had to get creative during the setup for this initial review. Like I said earlier, I also needed to download the USB-C drivers from Mackie's website, so its not exactly plug & play with Windows 10. Not a deal breaker again, just part of the setup process. This, compared to my old 8 Channel mixer, is leagues better. A lot has changed and it seems like the music industry is really catering to pod casters and streamers, making it fairly simple to setup one of these devices to your computer. Right now I am happy. I'll continue testing and exploring and updating the review as I discover more. Thanks for your time, hope this helped. Update 8/27/2025: I was able to use both the included recording software (Waveform13) and Reaper with this. My first impressions with Waveform were not great. That could be my fault though since its a bit different than Reaper. I'll give it a more fair shot and learn the work flow they're trying. Till then, all I can say is both applications work. I also used the bluetooth to take a couple of phone calls just for fun and the wife wasn't amused. It works though. Finally used the SM7B without the Cloudlifter and its better without. The Gain and Fader will be near max, but it introducing way less noise. ... show more

  • Finally, a better product for small home-use mixer
Style: FX+ (Bluetooth) Configuration: 6-Channel
Damn..... Finally After buying, testing and returning 3 mixers within 10 days, I finally settled into Mackie. Small but powerful packed with all features. I was basically loking for few inputs for home use only and the Software included with the product enhanced the comfort zone while using with computer for recording. Overall, its a genuine deal at affordable price. Just Go for it ... show more

  • A bit fragile
Style: FX (Non-Bluetooth) Configuration: 12-Channel
It’s a good board for the prize, easy to use, the only complaint is that one channel has already stopped working, I take really good care of it, but I consider it a bit fragile

  • Perfect for my simple studio
Style: FX+ (Bluetooth) Configuration: 6-Channel
Well built, cristal clear audio, no hiss or hum, and that clean icy EQ that Mackie is known for. Love it! Well built and works well in a multi-track recording setup as the audio interface. Make sure and use the Mackie driver. The mixer will use the Windows native driver just fine but the native driver will not allow access to USB channels 3 and 4. Without the Mackie driver you can not listen to playback and record new tracks without the old tracks rerecording on top of the new tracks. ... show more

  • Excellent compact mixer.
Style: FX+ (Bluetooth) Configuration: 6-Channel
Excellent compact unit I use for my smaller events (sound /dj business). I didn't realize how useful the Bluetooth would be. That's one less item I need to bring along.

  • Good value for the money
Style: FX (Non-Bluetooth) Configuration: 22-Channel
Excellent sound. I'm the sound guy for a 60's British invasion band. This mixer replaced an old digital mixer that gave up the ghost. This mixer sounds so much better and was easy to set up and use.
