The cups seal well, but keep in mind it is a tumbler and is not leak-proof! If you turn it upside down or sideways, the liquid will come out! It is a good size. I like the girth of the item, and that's what I was looking for. It's a taller than I want, but that's okay. I only gave it 3 stars, because it doesn't insulate very well. The outside of the glass stays wet with condensation, which I thought would not be the case with the advertised insulation.
