07/30/2023 - I use these as a circuit breaker for my solar system. The past few days it has been over 100 degrees in my shed even with ventilation. The breaker has started tripping at about 35 amps. I think it has to do with the heat. Worked great until these high summer Temps hit. Otherwise, does what I need. Ill probably stop this one out with another and use this one on a smaller system. 03/20/2023 - I'm currently using these as a breaker and solar disconnect between my solar panels and charge controller. I've seen videos where other people use them for this same application as well. I've never had a current strong enough to trip the breaker, but when I push the button it disconnects perfectly. ... show more

I'm going to try to be fair in this review but I wouldn't recommend this breaker for anything where close to 40A is needed. I was using it for a solar charge controller that is self limited to 40A but this relay kept tripping. To be fair, I think part of the problem was it was too close to the charge controller which was generating some heat (nothing crazy, I could still touch the relay), but even after moving the relay to where it was cool, I saw it trip at 38A. So I ended up replacing it with a fuse. I guess if you never want anywhere near 40A continuously it may be a fine product, but I don't like when the limitations of a product aren't clearly communicated. 2/15/23 Update: Seller replied to my review and offered a full refund so really good customer service! Changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars for that. ... show more

Will not reset and left me stranded on the water. Had to paddle back and go home to find that the breaker simply wasn’t resetting. Definitely put me in the situation third time of use.

It works. My motor is rated for 43amps so it has never popped open while riding . Accidentally shorted something out and it did pop. Saved me some headaches for sure. Also be careful when taking the little caps off because I lost both my rubber gaskets
