This foundation is weightless and smooth. It looked lighter than my skin tone but once I blended it, it matched perfectly. The coverage is nice and it hides imperfections and pores. You do not need powder over the top of this as it has a matte finish. I am so glad that I gave this foundation a try. I absolutely love it. The color looks perfect on my skin. It goes on smooth like a mouse without feeling heavy or cakey. Love this product! Great coverage that's buildable. But I'm 50 now and noticing that it slightly accentuates my fine lines when I smile. Don't love that. What I do love is its texture and how weightless it feels while expertly concealing unevenness. I think for younger skin, it's perfect. I don't use it often so it did start to dry out towards the bottom of the pot and its texture changed. But overall, this offers a great, velvety finish and great coverage. ... show more

This does not cover redness on my cheeks and dark circles under my eyes. It's a spongy texture. It goes on smooth and light weight. This foundation makes you look like you have no make up on. I bought the medium to deep, which is to light for my skin. My color skin is fair so the medium to deep should be a little darker than my skin and it is not. I used it for a facial foundation, being that I normally don't wear makeup, it works very well, it's light. I like the primer, the powder and the concealer in it as well, it's all together and it"s a good smooth feel. For a treat it fills in my fine lines. I would buy it again, indeed.

I've never written a review on a makeup product. I'm a firm believer that everything works differently, and it's up to the user to trial-and-error for themselves. But I feel compelled to leave one this time because I bought this based on the hundreds of "magical" 5-star reviews. I'm now wondering if these reviewers were bribed by the seller to give 5-stars, whether it be in receiving a full refund after purchasing/reviewing (this allows the seller to be marked as a 'verified purchase' on the review) or one of those "We'll send you a free product if you leave a review!" kinda things. I bought this with my own money. No games. I'm in my late 20's with normal/oily, acne-prone skin. My oiliness is pretty tame, though. The initial effect is BEAUTIFUL. I've never had a face product that made my skin look as poreless, flawless, smooth, matte, blurred.... like a real-life beauty mode. It gives good coverage and has a powder-like finish, making setting powder feel unnecessary. Not to mention, it adjusts pretty well to my skintone. Not an exact match, undertone-wise, but damn near close. I find it applies best with fingers or a stippling brush (don't even think about using a damp sponge... trust me.) The HUGE PROBLEM that apparently, no one out of 8,000 people has experienced, is that effect lasts about 2 hours on me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I'm like a scientist when it comes to makeup testing. If something doesn't work well the first time, I'll test different variables. Here's what I tried: (1) primer vs. no primer, (2) setting powder vs. no powder, (3) applying it differently (fingers, brushes, sponge), (4) cream cheek products, (5) powder cheek products, (6) different setting sprays, (7) different skincare products underneath, thinking maybe too much hydration was affecting the wear. Each time, testing products I know and trust. I'm a pro-makeup artist, as well as an experienced blogger who reviews products for a living, and I have NEVER had something wear this badly on me! It's quite shocking. And it has nothing to do with getting greasy; it holds up fine in my t-zone. But within 2-3 hours, the product just disappears from the skin around my cheek area. It breaks down and eats through everything on top of it, the coverage fades, and I'm left with the ugliest, dirty-looking patchiness and uneven skin you've ever seen. And if you're like me and have blemishes to cover, good luck! Those puppies will bleed right through (figuratively, speaking). And after that 2-3 hour mark, the poreless-ness and blurry-skin-goodness taps out. My pores and texture are emphasized, and it looks heavy, thick, and makeup-y. Imagine partying for 2 days straight without sleep... that's how my face looks after a couple hours. So, although the phenomenal reviews will suck you in, just be aware that sketchy stuff goes on behind-the-scenes, and something's not right here. Good luck if you try it, and I hope you have a better experience. ... show more
