Very handy funnel, should be on every reloading bench.

    • Static! YOW But it can be fixed.
Very nice design and the inverted funnel is a nice way to get the powder into small cases. HOWEVER, due to bad planning this is made of some plastic that takes/keeps a static charge. So you can never dump all the powder out since it clings to the pan, as much as two-tenths of a grains worth. So not usable. I'll look for one of the same funnel design but made of metal. UPDATE! I found that if you treat the tray with K2r Static Stopper https://www.amazon.com/56670-Static-Stopper-Fresh-Scent/dp/B00U1WRMBM that mostly fixes the problem. I sprayed it, let it sit and wiped it off and then let it dry overnight. I can see that it will have to be re-applied every so often but I've run ~500 so far and it is still OK. So recommended but only if you treat it for static. ... show more

    • I Gave This Pan a One Star This Morning Now a Five Star Find Out Why
I have a old model of this pan but I thought I would replace it with the new larger handle model. Right off the flake powder stuck to the pan. I wrote to customer service. I got an answer within a few hours telling me it was static electricity. It suggested that I wet it down with Windex which I did on three occasions making sure that the pan was completely dry but it did not work. Powder still stuck to the pan. I wrote back and received an answer within a few hours and it suggested using graphite. I have not done that as yet. I have been buying Lyman products for years and have never had a problem. This is the first item which is truly a disappointment. Don’t waste your money on this item. I just washed this pan in Dawn. Powder does NOT stick to the pan now! It is too bad the Customer Service at Lyman does not know this. Now I can recommend this item. ... show more

    • Works great if you expel the static buildup
I have to completely change my review of this item. My initial experience with it was horrible due to the fine grains of powder sticking to the plastic and the static interfering with my electronic scale. But as others have said rubbing it with a dryer sheet completely fixed it. It works great and I get extremely consistent loads using this. I keep it stored wrapped in a dryer sheet when I’m not using it and I haven’t had any static build up. If you use a powder throw make sure you hold the pan flush up against the funnel on the thrower when you drop the powder or else your grains will bounce off the pan and make a mess. ... show more

    • Saves me a step with measuring powder.
First let me say you will need to wash it with Dawn, then rub it good with a dryer sheet to get rid of the static. After the static is taken care of it works great. The little funnel on the end saves from having to sit a funnel on the case neck to dump the powder pan.. Stick the case mouth into the built in funnel end and tip the pan up to pour the powder into the case -easy pesy. I do wish it was made of aluminum, probably would cost a lot more though. ... show more
