Description

Simply a brilliant movie that was well done from start to finish! Sure the movie has a musical element to it but it's not an all in endeavor. This film is fun for the whole family with brilliant special effects, animation and a job well done by the entire cast. What's great is you don't have to like musicals or be a music buff to enjoy this film. The music is just a nice extra for fans that enjoy ir. There's tons of laughs and feel good moments to be had here, you may even learn something about this thing called life! Also, the 4k presentation makes this worthy of an upgrade if you already have the bluray or DVD. Very highly recommended! ... show more

    • Great movie for everyone!
Took my almost 3 year old granddaughter to her first walk in theatre movie and this was it. We left signing and laughing. I have watched it by myself many times. It’s really heart warming!

    • Great Feel-Good Movie
This is a great Feel-Good Movie. The film starts with a Javier Bardem (remember his chilling performance as Anton Chigurh in "No Country For Old Men?") as Hector P. Valenti, a song-and-dance man in NYC. He cannot make the big time, so he plans on teaming up with a singing crocodile. They bond as family, but when the time comes for Lyle's stage debut, he freezes. Hector leaves, and through "circumstances" the Prim family moves into Lyle's home - not realizing that they have moved into a house with a live, singing crocodile. There are a lot of hijinks and comedic moments, but there is a warm-hearted feel throughout the story. Shawn Mendes (internet singer) does a wonderful job as the voice of Lyle - who can sing but not speak. The animation people deserve great kudos for their work making a somewhat realistic crocodile into an emotionally relatable character. The plot is somewhat predictable, but everything is done with so much heart that you can't help but smile. If you are looking for a "message movie," this is not it. It's nothing too serious, but a very enjoyable, warm-hearted family movie. There is some conflict and a few sad moments, but the good guys win in the end. If you liked Clifford the Big Red Dog, you will like this movie. ... show more

Beautiful music, cute family friendly story, decent CGI Crocodile. It's a good movie for any musical lover. You'll find yourself bobbing your head with a big smile as you start singing along with Lyle.
