CASE FEATURES IN DETAIL Anti-Scratch Surface The surface of the case is rendered smooth with pattern to prevent minor scratches, which keeps the case looking intact during use. Silicone Rubber Handle The handle is covered by silicone rubber to give you a comfortable and firm grip, even if your hand is sweaty or the handle is wet. Easy-to-Use Latch The latch has a press button and a pull lever to open and close the case. Unlike other cases that require some strength to pull the latch, this case costs almost no effort to open and close. Padlock Hole Available The hole has a diameter of 0.3 in / 0.75 cm, and there are two holes on each side. You can apply a regular or TSA padlock to the case. Amazing case, much better then some of the other cases ive had from other name brands. This one feels to be more firearm friendly which is great. Now i just have to buy more spare foam. Update 8/2/20 : So wanted to give this case a update on usage and how it’s holding up. It’s doing phenomenal. I’ve bought 4 of them in total , two for firearms use and the others as tool cases. The ones that are used for tools are subjected more to a torture test life style from being exposed to the weather so caught in the rain and in the Miami sun, to being thrown around in my bed lined jeep with showing no scratching at all. I love this product so much, I immediately bought another one. I used one to save all my external hard drives and thumb drives and cables in one place, the other for my fluke multimeter. The foam is pretty stiff, not the cheap spongy stuff which is nice to keep everything in its place. There is also three layers of foam so you could actually put items in the middle and top layer to hide things. I use the middle layer for cables to keep things looking nice when you open it. When they don't make a carrying case for your drill... you make one yourself! Originally I had bought a smaller size case (same brand) so my warning to everyone is to measure everything closely and account for how much of the interior space you'll need for your devices (especially if they're tall). Thankfully, Amazon has a great return policy. Plucking out those tiny squares took a while, but it was well worth it. No mess and the end result (shown in the photo) looks great. I also used super glue to help the foam stick together better around the corners and edges where I plucked. And, I put a few squares back in (with glue) to provide underside support for the drill in a few areas. ... show more

Small case a little larger than a Pelican 1170 and slightly smaller than a 1200. The fit and finish is every bit as nice as a Pelican case and the construction details are really excellent - full width piano hinge, 'press to open' catches, a full, spongy rubber gasket in a groove in the lid, pressure release valve. The interior foam is in three layers in the base - a base layer and then two 'pick and pluck' layers (1.2" and 1.6") that can be interchanged so you can customize the interior space for your needs. Just formed it to what I need it for so my review is to early to say about true durability and so forth. The case is very well made. The push locks are a simple yet sensational design and feel sturdy. Installing the charger and cords was good and ripping the foam to your needs is easy and forgiving if you tear too far just rub it back and forth and you won't tell its ripped after it settles. Only thing I ran into was my mouse sticks up just enough to not let the laptop sit flat. Not the cases falt. Would be nice to have a little more thickness but then it wouldn't be such a slick and sleek design. Overall I'm very impressed for the money it's a great buy. As for waterproof I'd trust it in rain for sure. I won't try throwing it in a pool of water. If your looking for a great case so far I'd have to say this is my first go to! ... show more

the case is solid for sure. i have many pelicans and nanuk, this is different. it isn't bulky, it is in fact sleek. the pluck material is by far the best I have ever worked with. very dense, and easy to "pluck". not soft sponge, as the more expensive cases have. the body is not as "sturdy" or doesn't seem like it, but plenty good for many purposes. I am using it just for some hand tools that are a bit special and require a better case than normal, and this for sure is a much better case than anything normal. 5 stars because of value for the price. ... show more

The case is well designed and executed and is sold at a competitive price. I hope it will serve me well for carrying handguns and ammo to my shooting range. A few words of advice: 1. The case is airtight, so when you receive it, air pressure inside may be lower than your environment, which will make it difficult to open the case. Be sure to use the pressure relief knob to equalize the inside and outside air pressure. 2. When plucking the foam, tear the cubes off in the downward direction (into the case) as opposed to sideways or up out from the case. This will result in cleaner separation. Watch the YouTube demo (the link is provided on the paper sheet that comes with the product. 3. If you mess up the plucking process, you can buy replacement foam sets from the Lykus web site. Rather expensive: $25 (including shipping) for the foam set for HC-4410, which is 40% of the price of the case! This is the only negative thing that I can say about this product. ... show more

Received it very quickly, box seems very sturdy. There are some fit and finish items. One of the latches had a couple very sharp edges that need clipping or sanding to smooth them out. I bought this as a personal carry on to go under seat in front of me, so I can make sure camera and leses don't get too badly shaken. I have already ordered a larger one as well. This case is a very tight fit for a Canon T3i and a Canon 300mm f/4 L USM The orange packet is some desiccant to reduce humidity. The top of the camera sits just above the lip of the lower shell, but the case closes easily and this just means the camera is in contact with foam on all sides. The lens has some wiggle room, but not enough to cause concern. ... show more
