I'm getting used to Amazon providing an abundance of choices for some merchandise, and there are certainly a lot of these cases with customizable foam padding to choose from. I selected the Lykus brand primarily because they use two layers of "pluckable" foam instead of just one, which allows the user to customize a cavity in not just two dimensions, but in three dimensions. The full-length hinge also seemed like a good plus. I could see that the padlock holes weren't metal-reinforced like they are with some brands, but I was getting the case for protection against bumps and jostling during transport and not for travel security. What I couldn't tell, until I received the case, was how dense the foam was, or how well the latches worked. The foam, it turns out, is nice and firm, but not so dense as to make the case excessively heavy, and separated into 1 cm by 1cm columns. And the latches are an unexpected delight. I am used to cases with simple hinged clasps that provide a secure closure just by snapping tightly into place, but sometimes require the user to push down on the case lid (slightly compressing the rubber seal between case body and lid?) to latch or unlatch the case easily. The Lykus latches are a big improvement. They open easily after a light push on the upper portion of the center "button," and latch readily and securely (just make sure they "click" closed). These latches are a small but appreciated pleasure to use.

I'm no expert on cases, but at least for light use it gets the job done (I have never actually dunked it in water). My one piffle is that the pre-cut cubes can shred, instead of leaving a clean face. And color choices would be nice. But, for the $$, I'm a happy camper.

Excellent case. Very durable. The manufacturer says it's waterproof. I haven't tried that out yet but I believe them because it looks waterproof. Good build quality and design. I bought it for my drone. Tried of hauling it around in a thin cardboard box. One good drop or someone stepping on it would've destroyed it. I don't have to worry about that anymore. It would take a tank to hurt this case, and my drone fit perfectly.

I bought this to house a folding 100w solar panel and still have some room for charging wires and adapters. Their clear and precise measurements allowed me to choose exactly the right box for this purpose and the items fit exactly as I planned. I loved that the minute I got the case, I was able to use it for my Astrolabe and now I could take the instrument with me wherever and not worry about it being damaged. I'll remember this case and the brand for sure!
