Quality case at a discount price

Decently thick plastic give the case a nice stable and rigid feel when closed. Has a thick recessed o-ring in the top that will keep this dry, while lasting a long time. I like the low profile look for the lock holes. They will work well with my cheap luggage loop locks, while also not being distracting if I decide not to. The precut foam is handy, and will make my last step of putting this together much easier. It should be good for general items, but I wouldn't use it for anything that unprotected would scratch easily. Hopefully it wont break down into powder like a lot of others do after a year. The hardest challenge I hit with going a custom case route was the size, so its very nice that they have a good selection of sizes. My biggest take away is the price, most custom cases manufactures get hundred of bucks per case. I just don't have that kind of money so this will be perfect for what I need. Now I have a custom motorcycle tire patch and inflate kit, with the tools I want for less then what the premade's charge.

Same Solid Quality in a Slightly Smaller Size

This case is basically the same great design as the larger version, just a bit smaller. It’s sturdy, well-sealed, and comes with customizable foam so you can fit your gear exactly how you want. I use it for electrical testing tools to keep them protected inside my tool bag, and it’s held up great. The seal feels tight, and it handles weight really well — I’ve stacked heavier items on top without any issues. If you need a compact hard case that actually protects what’s inside, this one works great

Fits, Works, Priced Right - Awesome Case!

I’m new to gun ownership myself, but knew I needed a case. My criteria: - Something to secure the weapon - A place to keep its equipment - Can be locked for travel and approved by TSA - Sturdy and waterproof while appearing classy - Protective but easy to access without aggressive latches - Interior foam that I could configure to fit my items I studied cases for days and settled on this Lykus case because it met all these criteria and is nicely priced! I have to say, this is a great case! The foam was easy to configure and there is two layers of it, so I can secure some items vertically to save space. One comment to consider: the foam is thick- which is nice - however my pistol is relatively thin which allows it to “migrate” under the egg crate down of the lid. So I’m going to slice the extracted foam in half to raise the gun up enough to touch the foam of the lid - a minor nit for me. I like this case so much, I’m getting one for my wife and her firearm! I highly recommend this case for anything delicate or fragile and especially for a sidearm!

Love this case, it's just the right size for what I need. The online description is right on, the case itself is sturdy and should last, there's foam on both the bottom and top, with a thicker high density foam in the middle. The case also offers a lock location for keep contents safe (lock not included). The only thing I wish it had is a small handle for ease of carry.

This is an awesome case. I just got a new drill and unfortunately it did not come with a case but I had this guy just waiting for its new drill battery and charger all in a foam case. Highly recommend for anything!!!! Just got a new wood router for my tool collection and obviously had to get a case for it not only did the Router fit in it but I was able to pull one square out at a time and get all the bits that came with the unit in the same box.

Good functional case with great latches

I'm getting used to Amazon providing an abundance of choices for some merchandise, and there are certainly a lot of these cases with customizable foam padding to choose from. I selected the Lykus brand primarily because they use two layers of "pluckable" foam instead of just one, which allows the user to customize a cavity in not just two dimensions, but in three dimensions. The full-length hinge also seemed like a good plus. I could see that the padlock holes weren't metal-reinforced like they are with some brands, but I was getting the case for protection against bumps and jostling during transport and not for travel security. What I couldn't tell, until I received the case, was how dense the foam was, or how well the latches worked. The foam, it turns out, is nice and firm, but not so dense as to make the case excessively heavy, and separated into 1 cm by 1cm columns. And the latches are an unexpected delight. I am used to cases with simple hinged clasps that provide a secure closure just by snapping tightly into place, but sometimes require the user to push down on the case lid (slightly compressing the rubber seal between case body and lid?) to latch or unlatch the case easily. The Lykus latches are a big improvement. They open easily after a light push on the upper portion of the center "button," and latch readily and securely (just make sure they "click" closed). These latches are a small but appreciated pleasure to use.
