My wife and I enjoy shooting bows and arrows in our lower field where we set out a variety of targets. The majority of our targets are a bit too bulky or heavy to set on our target stand, but this one is very lightweight and a great fit for the stand. The foam is quite dense, and it captures our arrows with ease, which are fairly easy to remove. Do pay attention to the rating of this target. It’s not for crossbows, and only for bows with up to 30-pound draw weights. Higher draw weights require two to five of these targets stacked in front of each other. We shot it with carbon fiber arrows with both compound and recurve bows with up to 30-pound draw weights, and the target properly stopped the arrows without over penetration. The colors of the target are nice and vibrant, and I like that additional paper targets are supplied with this foam target. Be aware that not only is this target not suitable for crossbow bolts, but it is for field tips only and not broadheads. Any cons? This is a bit pricey for just a piece of foam, and at this price I wish the coloring was on both the front and back of the target, so that when one side begins to wear out, you could just flip it over. I guess that’s what the paper targets are for, but the paper targets won’t last long. Otherwise, it is a nice dense foam target that is appropriate for most types of archery target practice. ... show more

This is a great backyard target. The colors are bold and give great contrast. The stopping power is quite adequate for the recurve bows I use.
