The device can work, but the intensity of music is not well? The battery output is not enough and needs to be charged. Why the headphone has a big buzzing sound when the input line is connected but not play? When an unshielded signal line is empty, an interference signal will enter the amplifier and be amplified. This amp has worked nicely and is exactly what I needed. I primarily use it for voice recording. When recording, I have the gain on my audio interface low, but that also means I couldn't hear myself through my headphones while recording until I would listen to the playback. This helps me boost the level so I can hear myself in real time without touching my gain adjustment. If you plan to use it the same way, just make sure you turn the volume down before you listen back to it or it will be super loud. The quality of the casing and buttons are nice as well. Nothing feels cheap and the casing appears to be metal to likely act as a heat sink. I have never felt the unit even get warm, so it serves its purpose well. The charge port is a micro USB. You can charge it through your computer or with a phone charger. You can't charge it while you use it or it creates a lot of feedback. But the battery life is very good, I think I only have to charge it every few days. Charge time isn't bad either. I'd forgotten to turn it off before and came back in the morning and it was still running. I just leave a charging cable ready at my desk so I can charge this amp or my bluetooth mouse with the same cable when needed. I plan to also use it on my outdoor projector as because the projector seems to be picky about audio inputs. I've been working with this amp full-time for work for about six months and I have absolutely no complaints. ... show more

This amplifier increases the output volume a fair amount, though I needed two of them in line to increase the volume enough for our daughter's headphones to be loud enough in our motorhome. However, if the amplifier is charging, there is a slight buzzing in the audio output. Thankfully, there is a built-in battery, so the amplifier can work a long time while not charging, which resolves the sound issue, but you must remember to reconnect the power source when you're done listening. ... show more

I was really impressed with the good reviews this product had, so when I received ONLY the amplifier in the package, I was disappointed. The product page and the other reviews show that it comes with 3 cables and a manual, all packaged inside a white box. I received just the amplifier, in a clear plastic bag. Amplifier arrived without any visual blemishes or imperfections. It had some juice in it and was smaller than I expected—in a good way. I wish I could comment on the sound but without the jack-to-jack cable it's supposed to come with, I can't test it. I contacted LVY through Amazon's e-assistant and will update this review when or if this issue is resolved. Update (Aug 18th, 2022): After a little over a week, LVY completely refunded my order and promised to send a new product. I am happy to report that 4 days ago, I received the package with ALL of the items—all working perfectly fine. Thank you, LVY! The headphones I tested the amp with have an SPL of 91 dB/mW (an audiophile recommended using an amp for anything lower than 100 dB/mW) and the amp unlocked what the headphones were truly capable of. I noticed a clarity increase and volume increase, with no static noise when the battery is full. My ears did not detect any distortion and the amp's battery life is just about the 5-hour life it promised. If I were to be nitpicky, I noticed the charging indicator turns blue when it is fully charged but the manual said it's supposed to turn green. I charged it for a whole night and day and it never turned green. It's just a small detail so I don't really mind. ... show more

I returned this, as I didn’t feel it made much difference with my particular headphones (Beyerdynamic 770 at 80ohm) The sound quality wasn’t bad when using it, but the hassle of carrying and charging another thing just made me say nah I don’t need this.

The amplifier cones with everything needed to boost headphone volume. It has a right and left balance control so can be adjusted individually. The unit does need a USB connection for power but does come with the connector. Works very well!
