The media could not be loaded. Just got this set delivered on Thursday and have had an excellent few nights sleep. Very comfortable sheets and pillow cases, kept us warm but also very breathable. The first night was the best and at this price I’ll be getting a second set. One of the features I really like is the quality stitching in the corners/seems as well as the elastic bands. Most sheets have very thin stitching and elastic with limited stretch, these sheets were very well designed with the customer in mind. I just switched from a queen to a Cali King bed and finding good quality sheets has been a challenge. I am a bit of a sheet snob, I admit it and the thought of buying sheets online without feeling them first was hard for me. I have slept in Egyptian cotton, bamboo, sateen, flannel, polyester, and thread counts ranging anywhere from 200tc to 1500tc, you name it I've probably had them! And for me personally, I prefer the feel of a sturdy/heavier crisp cotton sheet to sleep in above all. For years my go-to sheets have been Fieldcrest, Peacock Alley and eveb the Supima Cotton Co. made specifically for Costco. However, now that I'm in a Cali King bed, finding sheets or ones that will fit the corners of my almost 17" matress without breaking the bank has been a challenge. So I happened to see these Hyde Lane sheets and figured I would try them since they say the pockets will fit up to a 20" corner. When I received them I was little impressed as they did feel nice and sturdy. I washed and dried them and got them on my bed. The fitted sheet easily does cover my deep matress with room to spare. The elastic sewn completley around the fitted sheet has kept it from riding up on the sides or corners. It stays nice and tight which I appreciate. The flat sheet has a nice finished embroidered fold over. If I had to find any flaw it would only be that I would've liked to have had the pillow cases have the envelope closures but that has nothing to do with the overall great comfort of these sheets. Sturdy and soft (especially after washing). I believe that the quality of these sheets far exceed the cost! I immediately went back and ordered another set in the gray. I can't say for sure if these truly are 1000tc but they are definitely quite thick. I am a very hot sleeper. I must have my room at a cool temp to sleep well and these sheets don't make me wake up sweating or feeling the need to tear off my top blanket to cool down. For now, these are my new go-to sheets and at this price I am more than happy with them! Oh yes, and please note. These are cotton so they do wrinkle out of the dryer. I am not one to take an iron to my sheets but if that's a deal breaker then you will need to iron them or definitely look elsewhere. I've added pics to show the fit around the corners of my matress, the embroidery and sewn elastic all the way around the fitted sheet. The last pic is the sheet pulled over my hand tight to try and show the sturdiness and thickness. Hope this helps!! ... show more

    • Wasn't impressed at first but now I love!
Upon first impression, these sheets were VERY thick and heavy. I thought for sure they would be hot and my hubby is a hot sleeper. We sleep in a room that's never over 65 degrees and he sleeps with a sheet and MAYBE a thin little blanket in the coldest of winter. Meanwhile, I'm on the other side of our bed with a doubled up down comforter. When I first took them out of the package, I thought they were a bit stiff in addition to being thick. Just wasn't sure that would work. I will say that I was immediately impressed by the depth of the pockets and the thick elastic bands on the corners. We usually use those elastic sheet suspenders to clip the corners of the sheets onto our mattress because one of my hubby's pet peeves is when the sheets pull off the mattress in the middle of the night. Anywho... After washing the sheets and putting them on the bed, I was still a little worried about the stiffness and thickness. But after sleeping in them for a week, they've softened up and the thickness actually feels luxurious. The thick bands hold strong without using the sheet suspenders. Haven't come off once! These sheets are not organic! This is false advertising! There are 2 pictures in the listing that i saw that read "100% organic cotton" and "Premium Organic Cotton". I just purchased these and asked the seller if they were organic because it doesn't say so on the tag. This is their response: "Thank you for your recent purchase and for taking the time to contact us. I understand your concern about the Hyde Lane 1000 Thread Count Queen Sheet Set. The reason organic is mentioned is that the cotton itself is already an organic material, Not synthetic." Thank you, Kriszia @ La Fiore Customer Support. It's too bad because the sheets actually feel really nice, but I can't purchase from a company that's not honest and I was intending to purchase organic sheets. ... show more

    • Thick, soft sheets, for sheet snobs.
I am a sheet snob. I have been trying to replace two sets of sheets purchased from Bed Bath and Beyond about 20 years ago, yes I said 20 years ago and finally found something I like well enough to keep. I tried to get the same exact sheets from Be Bath and Beyond. I paid over $300.00 for the sheets and returned them because they are not even close to my original sheets. Theses sheets fit my snobbish requirements: They are thick, and an excellent value for the price. Another person commented the stitching and detail is excellent. I completely agree. Out of the package they feel rough. You need to wash them 2 or 3 times in warm water with a fabric softener to remove the sizing and other residue from the sheets prior to using them. They are still not as soft as my 20 year old sheets, but I am certain over time they will continue to get softer. I highly recommend washing them separately, always. My golden oldie sheets I believe I paid more than$125.00 for long ago. These sheets are likely to become my new favorites--the old ones ripped. Great value, if you want thick, soft sheets. The package says they have a sateen finish. The sheets will not have a sateen finish after washing with fabric softener. I suspect the sateen finish will go away over time. If you want a slick finish, these are not for you. ... show more
