  • Highly recommended. Works well with TorchStar LED lights.
Color: White
The media could not be loaded. Purchased this at the recommendation of the tech support engineer. Bought it to replace the 150 watt version (153p) after we decided to add some additional LED lights to our basement. We installed the TorchStar ultra thin 6 inch 12 watt and 3 inch 7 watt gimballed lighting fixtures. The 150 watt version was listed as compatible with these lamps, however, torchstar tech support said that that this switch had not yet been tested or deemed compatible. On the advice of Lutron, I purchased and installed this switch to support the additional wattage. Glad to say that it is fully compatible with the installed lights, gives instant on and smooth dimming with no flickering. It is installed in a 3-way configuration. Just FYI, you only need one unit for a 3-way install. The other should be just a standard 3-way switch. I highly recommend this switch for applications over 150 watts, and less than 250. ... show more

  • Works great with LED lights
Color: White
We are converting our church building to all LED lighting. In the sanctuary the dimmer switches for 12 ea PAR 38 incandescent lights had to be 4" x 4" with cooling fins on the outside. Because of the way the original work was done, this resulted in a switch panel behind the audio booth that was large, and because of the location there was no good way to cover the opening into the wall and still maintain access to the wiring in that area. But the old dimmer switches don't work well with dimmable LED lights. With these we can put all the switches in a fraction of the space, sheetrock the opening, and install an access panel to easily reach wiring. ... show more

  • No-hassle LED dimmer
Color: White
I bought this dimmer to use with the "SleekLighting GU10 LED, 8 Watt, Dimmable ,550 lm, Light Bulb Spotlight, Recessed, Track Lighting. Ac 120v UL Listed (Pack of 4)" led bulbs that were a Gold Box buy a few weeks back (https://www.amazon.com/SleekLighting-Dimmable-Spotlight-Recessed-Lighting/dp/B0156X9416). Note that these bulbs are not on their approved list (pretty short list). This was to replace a Maestro dimmer that was already in place (it flickers with LEDs). Single pole installation was as easy as installing a switch ever could be. A few wires and screw it back in. Functionally, everything worked just as advertised. The one suggestion I have for the product managers would be that the minimum light level needs to be about half what it is now. Its pretty low now, but nowhere close to the dimness you can get with incandescent. Of course, using bulbs from the approved list may have better dimming behavior. In the end, I kept this dimmer in place over the Leviton DSM10-1LZ because it didn't flash when turning on (see my Leviton review). Even though the minimum on the Leviton was lower, I preferred a higher minimum with no flash. ... show more

  • Dependable quality and predictable performance
I bought these for dimming almost 250 Watts of T8 LED tubes and tested these with the 24 Watt JESLED dimmable LED. Dimming is smooth and flicker free. Combination did not interfere with non-dimmable LEDs (two brands) sharing power and neutral. Dimmer has a low setting adjustment that hides under face plate, and is advertised as inverted edge for superior performance. With setting at "-" power is 1.4 Watts, and dimmer slider all the way up was 24.5 Watts, so dimmed to around 6%. This unit does not need a neutral wire and can function as a two way switch with a sense wire from the remote switch. Power factor at full dropped from 0.99 no dimmer to 0.96 and is 0.21 at lowest setting. Lutron does not list any T8 dimmable LEDs in its compatibility finder. ... show more

  • A Solid No-Frills Dimmer
Color: Almond
I had to replace a Lutron Maestro unit because my LED bulbs started to pulse, not flicker. They would flash brighter about every second. If you have this problem, you will not find help online because everyone calls it flicker, which is a different problem. This Diva dimmer is no frills, it does not have the ramp on, ramp off feature that adjusts brightness over time. It's strickly on/off. I like this better because the on/off rocker is a switch that cleanly clicks on/off rather than the mushy toggle you press on the Maestro unit. And unlike the Maestro, the brightness level is set by an independent slide switch to the side of the toggle. Last item to note is that this is a 250 W LED unit, not 150 W that is most common in big box stores. Look up the compatability of your bulbs on the Lutron site and you will find they strongly recommend a 250 W LED unit. My Maestro unit was 150 W which is why it likely started pulsing after a few years of use. ... show more

  • Perfect fit and function.
I replaced a non-dimmer switch with this one. It was simple to install, works perfectly, and the color matches.

  • Lutron phone help exceptional, and great switch too
Color: White
I've done a lot of electrical work, and on install this didn't work in my 3 way setup. So why the 5 star review? Because I called the toll free Lutron number at 7PM (PDT) on a Monday night. A smart man answered, and talked me through fixing a mistake I'd made in wiring it. He stayed with me on the phone while I opened a second electrical box and described how the 2nd switch in the circuit was wired. (Incidentally, if you're replacing a 3 way switch, don't assume the wires in the box with match the colors on the dimmer- take a picture of your original switch wiring before cutting wires (duh)). Amazing. Didn't even think someone would answer the phone... Plus the switch works great and you can leave it a a dimming level you like while turning just on/off. Plus it matches similar on/off switches in the same box. ... show more
