I purchased these casters to install on the bottom of a living room side table and they work perfectly. They screwed right into the existing feet holes. I'll definitely be buying more when I want to install casters on other furniture.

To start, the casters themselves are great, they are currently attached to a homemade trundle for my smaller girls. They are small, read the description and use a measuring tape for a reference if needed. I bought them knowing exactly how big they were for my needs. This brings me to the biggest flaw, at least, in my eyes. The wrench they supply you with is a double open ended 10mm one side, and 12mm on the other. To properly attach these, you need 2 wrenches, both 10mm. Or, a wrench and a socket, both 10mm. The wrench however, must be very, very thin to accommodate the thinness of the "hold" nut between the wheel and the threaded rod otherwise it will fail to tighten. The first picture is the wrench they supply you with and it's thickness. The second is what the same wrench looks like after some grinding to make it thinner and still is a tiny bit too thick to work properly. The third shows the hold nut and the thickness of the adjusted wrench close to each other for reference. The fourth is the other side that I didn't grind down which shows exactly why this supplied wrench won't work without some fabrication. However, I was able to make it work and my review stars express such. I would give it 5 stars if they gave you an appropriate tool to use to attach them with. Overall, if you are handy and/or have access to a thin 10mm wrench, you will be satisfied with these. I put these on my new computer desk so I could roll it around in my new (smaller) apartment they roll very nice and did not add more than a 1/2" more than the feet had to the height of the desk.

I bought these to replace the plastic casters on a small slant-top rolling desk that is very lightweight. The original plastic casters would skid on my tile floor, and I figured these would grip and change direction easier. Which they certainly do, as well as being quiet. Of course, I mistakenly thought the M6 stem threads would be just about right to screw into the steel legs on my desk, which was not going to happen because these threads are much smaller. Returning them would be ridiculous because, where I live, we don't have any UPS store, and the cost of return shipping would have been almost as much as the price of the casters themselves. I put on my thinking cap, and came up with a plan to use PLASTIC DRYWALL ANCHORS in those much-too-large threaded sockets, and these ended up working perfectly. It saved the day for me, and if anybody else makes the same stupid mistake I did, then this may be an answer for you. ... show more

Had a few hours to kill in the shop so I built several sets of cedar privacy screens for my patio area. I installed these wheels to be able to move them around easily on the deck tiles. These wheels are a bargain. They are sturdy, swivel and roll quite well, and the stem threads were consistently well machined. (For you craftsmen, they thread perfectly into these inserts: MroMax M6 x 15mm Threaded Insert Nuts Zinc Alloy Hex Socket M6 Internal Threads 0.59inch Length Bronze Tone 20pcs) I highly recommend these, and I rarely give anything a perfect recommendation. ... show more

    • Great price but hard to install

Bought these small rollers for a cart with 1" legs. Pros: Great value and sturdy. Cons: No installation instructions. Nuts for tightening the rollers won't thread on to the rollers (wrong size). Because I can't use the nuts, the provided tool became too "thick" to completely turn the rollers to be flushed to the leg. I had to use a plier to hold the swiveling part steady while turning the roller to make it flush to the leg. Bottom line: If you are handy and have extra sizes of nuts, then these will work. If you expect easy installation, look elsewhere. ... show more

After receiving these casters with brakes, did not order those, reordered and received casters without brakes, the type I wanted. Installed them on a drill press base and they seem to work OK, only time will tell how durable.
