The build quality was beyond my expectation. It was simple to assemble, the packaging was incredible. I purchased through Amazon to get overnight shipping. As with any CNC there is a learning curve. It is an addictive tool, and I will be buying a compatible laser to add. Definitely budget for accessories. I would recommend vacuum clamp, a table vise type clamp, vacuum pickup adapter, and extra bits.

I originaly worked with a Genmitsu basic 3018 with plastic X gantry upright supports that my friend wanted to upgrade to cut metal. He had more money into it than the Lunyee 3018 pro ultra and it was still not very good for machining metal. I got interested in using one of these machines so I bought the Lunyee 3018 pro ultra which already was upgraded to X axis linear rails in stead of linear rods . I eventually upgraded that machine with a 1.5kw vfd spindle. Now I see the new Lunyee 3020 for under 600 I decided to upgrade again. The 3020 is another huge upgrade including linear rails on all axis's along with 12mm ball lead screws and bigger stepper motors. For only20 more mm, the 3020 is a lot heavier and more rigid. I pulled it out of the box and the only assembly was attaching the z axis, which includes guide pins for proper alignment, and the spindle mount it was ready to use. I also upgraded my vise to the Lunyee low profile vise with dovetails. I had previously upgraded my 3018 pro ultra to a 1.5kw air cooled VFD so I moved that over and started a couple test cuts. I have double my feed rate on the 3020 since it is more rigid and can handle a larger load. I tested the 3020 with both the router spindle that it ships with and my VFD. both have very similar results but personally I like the VFD better as it's quieter, I can control the speeds via software, and it starts and stops automatically when running the program. So far Lunyee's customer service/support has been top notch. On the 3020 I unplugged the e stop switch while setting up the machine and adding my accessories. I was unable to connect to the control board with my computer so I bought a new replacement board fon ebay from Lunyee as I thought some how I damaged the original one . I contacted the seller (Lunyee) to verify the new board I was purchasing was the correct board for my machine. They confirmed it was and asked me to send a video of the problem with my original board. I sent as requested and they informed me the board will not run with the e stop switch removed unless I added a jumper. Unfortunately they shipped the new board out already. I actually didn't need it but have a spare now. I thought the problem was resolved with their response and it actually fixed my problem so I didn't respond letting them know it was fixed. 2 or 3 days later they reached out again to make sure my problem was resolved and see if they could do anything else for me

very nice - fairly easy setup - and it uses M5 table accessories. Even the manufacturer says M6 but save yourself the headache ... it uses M5 t nuts and screws.

Definitely a great machine but has its limits. Firstly, the controller died, and then after about 50 hours of use, the router is stuck in HIGH speed mode. Other than those two things that can be replaced and maybe not that big of a deal, the machine really is built with great quality. I've been using to make custom graphite molds, it's very precise and pays for itself. Entry level machine but gives professional result!

It came in good package. The setup process was easy. It is a very sturdy item and I started to run it in no time. The USB stick has all software and information. I ran into an issue with the z plate wiring; reversed wires, which actually did not create any problem with the machine. After swapping two wires, z plate worked perfectly. There were also several g code files in the USB stick. I did a couple different cuts on wood pieces. My main goal is to use Nova 3020 for processing aluminum. Overall it has been a positive experience.

The criticism may not necessarily reflect the sell. The issue is with lunyee. Put in a ticker 5 days ago and it has been complete silence. Mean while the device is un-usable until they respond. Working on a project where every minute counts. Contemplating returning this and going with another product. Is this the norm? Then maybe I chose the wrong product.
