Lumos began on the streets of Boston. It’s where we first fell in love with cycling as a way to get around. Except that it always felt like we were putting our lives in someone else’s hands every time we went on the road. We always felt that people (drivers especially) didn’t see us, especially at night. We created Lumos because we were trying to solve a problem that we were experiencing in our own life. NTA 8776-certified protection designed for e-bike riding and higher-speed commutes. TÜV-verified front and rear lighting helps make your presence easier to notice day and night. Comfortable, versatile, and ready for everyday rides through the city. What makes this helmet different from a standard bike helmet? The Lumos Ultra E-Bike Helmet combines NTA 8776-certified protection, built-in front and rear lights, turn signals, automatic brake lights, and a retractable face shield in one commuter-ready design. Is the face shield removable? No. The face shield is built into the helmet and is not designed to be removed. It can slide up or down, so you can adjust it based on your riding conditions. Does it have automatic brake lights and turn signals? Yes. The helmet includes turn signals and automatic brake lights to help communicate your movement more clearly on the road, especially during city rides and e-bike commutes. Is it easy to adjust the fit? Yes. The helmet features an adjustable fit system to help you find a secure, comfortable fit. We recommend measuring your head circumference before purchase and checking the size guide. How do I adjust the light settings? You can adjust the light modes using the helmet buttons as described in the user guide. The helmet itself seems to be functional as-is (without the need for an app-based firmware "upgrade"), and I do appreciate the array of light modes. However, I will not be using the associated app until Lumos fixes the issues that are documented in the Play Store! I would prefer not to brick this helmet's light functions. ... show more

When i started looking for a helmet that meet all of the requirements I was looking for, I found that there are very few on the market. This helmet has a safety shield, turn signals, good lighting both front and rear, and one thing I didn't expect was an automatic brake light. All lighting is custom set by the phone app. The only problem I had was trying to figure out how to charge the turn signal remote. The instructions was not in the box. Finally searching the web I found it. Overall this is the best helmet on the market for the e-bike rider. Already have had people stop me and want information on the helmet. Ok first off i gave this 3 stars because of one thing when I got it wouldn't work it would circle the orange lights around for hours even charging but it would turn off and on so I tried everything got nothing at all to work eventually after opening app 17 times and trying to get the update to work it failed again plugged it into my computer after clearly voiding warranty if u guys are ok w that I was because I planned on sizing up the helmet anyways there is a usbc port to my PC as well once connected I was able to get a application that can force read it and was delighted to find out it bricked itself mid update zero coding at all in the file for it so I used different app to download a android app on my PC to use there app on my PC and updated it through usbc after a ton of random apps and work around well I powered it back on and it worked after nearly 2.3 days it is back working do I recommend it yes definitely this is a rare thing probably tbh but even if not it has prevented multiple cars from going around me at times they shouldn't when I'm turning etc so I would have given it 4 stars but took 2 days to fix so. Lost 2 the DRL lights are dim for day but perfect at night rear will be fine during say as well all blinkers tho are perfect for being visible in sunlight quality feels ok it's light idk why people say it's heavy it's not for what it is ... show more
