For assisting a legally blind person in getting around it is so very helpful. The length is perfect and when not in use during outings it is easy to put away until needed. The white hook cane we had been using did not fit well in grocery carts, under tables and when a passenger in some cars. When being used it is noticed by others around her that she is very vision impaired and respectfully people will accommodate our space needs or help needed. The length is ideal for assisting this but I think a longer one would be better for the independently mobile. ... show more

When you only have one eye and damage the other you are left completely blind. This was a godsend until my vision was restored after many months in the dark. After learning how to use it I developed a new confidence and didn't have to rely on my "seeing eye spouse" nearly as much.
