All my life I perspired heavily! Hot/exercise/nervous/ any alcohol/spicy foods, you name it….. I have sweat dripping down my face & (mainly) upper body. While I’ve made peace with sweating (a former coworker could not sweat & it was very uncomfortable for her), I’ve always felt smelly and very self conscious no matter how often I shower and/or apply deodorant. This amazing bar of soap surprised me! It works so very well. I’m in my 70’s now and sweat even worse but for the first time in a long while I feel fresh for over 24 hours!! Yay! Update 06/05/25 With temperatures climbing, I decided to do a comparison: Test 1 - shower with Lume, regular deodorant. Worked up a sweat. Next day quick wash-up with regular soap, regular deodorant; did several loads of laundry, perspiring heavily BUT no smell! Yay! Test 2 - shower with regular body wash, regular deodorant. I don’t care for this brand’s deodorant, but I do love this soap! I have sensitive skin, as well as eczema, and this doesn’t bother me at all. I feel cleaner when I use this compared to my moisturizing bar. I don’t use it daily, as that might be drying especially in the winter months. It is unscented and it truly doesn’t have any kind of chemical smell. It’s a little pricey for sure, but it lasts quite a bit longer than my moisturizing bar.

This stuff is my new obsession and I don’t even like bar soaps! I have always bought Philosophy body wash because it smells nice. But I started using Lume as my deodorant because it controls odor so well & thought I’d try the soap. Amazing. It’s not just “deodorant” soap but makes my skin feel & look amazing. It lathers well, cleans well, smells great….. It’s the whole package for me. Because it’s pricey I bought a soap pouch and hang it to dry so it doesn’t sit in the soap dish melting away.

Yes works. Yes no odor. You can tell when you do not use it. But to last longer keep out of the wet. Expensive for a bar but worth the actual results. This in combo with a deodorant or there.cream products- you will have zero odor and then you have another shower and it it actually amazing

I do love the soap. It smells nice and definitely cleans the body. I've been using it for a few weeks now and feel it does not have 24-hour odor protection. At least not for the underarms. It is however, moisturizing and does not irritate my skin. I'd like to know if there's a break-in period for odor protection to actually begin happening. I do feel it's on the pricey side for it to not deliver what it promises. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

This is the first thing that has really worked for me to get rid of under arm odor, and it started working immediately, after the first use. I had tried the acidified cleansing body wash from Lume in the past but it did not work for me to stop underarm stink. I’m not sure what’s different in the bar than the body wash, but I have not noticed any underarm odor at all in the weeks since I’ve started using it. It’s a miracle product for me. I’ve tried SO many things in the past- benzoyl peroxided wash, Duradry products, Thai salt stone, glycolic acid, hibiclens antibacterial soap, etc. None of those things worked as well as the acidified cleansing bar. It’s more expensive than a normal soap bar, that’s true, but if you’re like me and have wasted so much money trying products to help with body odor only to have them not work, you will not regret trying this bar. A little goes a long way and I expect the bar to last a long time. I hope Lume keeps making this product because I don’t ever want to be without it!

I was aware of the price when I purchased - excellent soap, easy on the skin, no irritation and does what it advertises ( stars for what it is), but I cannot justify the price for future purchases (at time of my purchase it was $19.99 US). Yeah, I know "why did you buy it then?" I have used several of the other Lume products and have been very impressed, so I decided to try this soap. I would have no problem if it was a substantially lower price. Just doesn't feel like I got value for the dollar.
