I am worried that this will alter the color of the dress over time as it doesn't block out the light 100%. It is a nice looking box and fit a large dress but it was snug.

    • Nice Looking Wedding Dress Storage Box
This wedding dress storage box was a great find. We were married many, many years ago and her dress was packed away in a department store box and sealed shut for all of these years. While we don't anticipate using the dress again, i wanted to pick up a better box that should protect it better going forward. This box is nice looking. We'll have it in a closet, but if you wanted to use it for other purposes, it would look just fine setting out. It has sturdy handles, and it is covered in a nice thick fabric that has a bit of a plastic feel. The box comes with rigid sides that you place inside. They are coated in a white fabric. White acid free tissue and gloves are also included. It is just what I thought it would be and the dress fits inside just fine. If the dress you are planning to store is made of layers and layers of fabric, it might be a tight fit. The only real issue with this box is that the zippers are difficult to navigate around the corners, but I eventually got them to work. I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because those zippers take some work to close. I see many other applications for this box... storing baby clothes for later, baptismal gowns, even high-school team jackets ... lots of uses for a nice looking bag. ... show more

This storage box is big and sturdy all the way around. I actually use it to store swim & exercise wear that no longer fits, but I can't seem to let go. This box holds so much that I still have space for more stuff, surprisingly. I love that it has a well-working zipper closure that secures the top and a tight fitting bottom panel that really stabilizes the box. The material of the box is nice looking and seems pretty durable. The woven handles are covered in PU material, in a color that makes me think of peanut butter, but I'd prefer a light chocolate.     • Good quality box, but consider your needs first
The box is quite tall, so keep in mind if storage space is at a premium in an apartment where you might shove it under a bed. There are handles for carrying, and it comes with gloves for handling which is a nice touch. My main concern is that because it is not particularly wide that it would require folding over a standard sized wedding dress multiple times which would defeat the purpose of storing it away. My wife happens to be short (well under 5 feet) and had a shorter dress to begin with, so it was an ok fit for her secondary dress (we had 2 weddings and she wore this one to the civil). When I first got this I chuckled because I didn't think there was any way my dress would fit in this box. I've been keeping it sealed in a vacuum bag for quite some time and was looking for a more reasonable storage option. Here are my thoughts: 1) This box is smaller than it appears in the photo 2) If you have a puffy skirt on your wedding dress (tulle, etc.), this may not work for you. 3) If you are not okay with "stuffing" your dress into a box, look for another option unless you have a minimal slip/satin dress. 4) The box is collapsible so it allows for overfilling. 5) The zipper in this is sturdy/well made. 6) The acid free paper was nice, but difficult to get in the sides after the dress was in the box. 7) I wouldn't put this box in an attic or open area, as the box is not weather/waterproof. This is more of a 3.75 star item in my opinion because I also felt the price point to be on the high side for a box that is not completely weather proof and was smaller than anticipated. ... show more

    • Tight fit if you have a poofy gown
My wedding dress is not very large in size (size 4) but the skirt is very poofy because of the multiple layers, making it a pretty tight fit in this box. I had to fold it several times to get it all inside. I can’t fit the veil or anything else into the box. The box material seems nice and sturdy. It’s pretty enough to keep out in the open but we plan to store away in the closet. The description mentioned the option of storing away under the bed but this size definitely would not allow that. ... show more

This is a good, no-frills preservation box. The box is a burlap-feeling material with what seems to be a waxy, waterproof coating. The bottom “floor” of the box fits tightly into place, making it sturdy and keeping the shape. The package included a large, elastic pair of microfiber gloves, as well as thick, acid-free paper. I feel like the paper should come sealed in a plastic bag, but it did arrive okay and undamaged. There is a slot on the front of the box to slide in a label, but I think it would be nice if this was included. I think this box will be nice to wrap my wedding dress in—at the end of the day it’ll be nicely packaged and secured on a shelf in the closet, and this box will be perfect for that. I’m not sure that this box could successfully fit a more poofy, ball gown style dress, so be aware of that! ... show more

This is a great alternative than paying a couple hundred to have the dry cleaners do it. This put together yourself linen dress storage box comes with white gloves and acid free paper to keep your dress looking like it did the day you got it. It prevents in from turning yellow and getting dusty or smelly. Unfortunately, my dress is too big for the box. It's smaller than I had hoped. It's very easy to assemble and use.
