Not long after I purchased these, one of the lugs for the laces pulled through the fabric. I’m stubborn so I went online and found some parts that allowed me to replace it successfully. Then, before long I noticed that my feet were always cold (think winter and walking through snow). Upon closer inspection, I’d found that the soles of both shoes had split in multiple places allowing mositure to wick up to the inside. I loved the look of these and got many compliments. These are just proportioned incorrectly. Very wide and stiff. They refuse to break in (after many long shifts of 20k+ steps). They will cause blisters. These are meant for folks with wider feet. They are also not meant to be worn with tapered pants and should be worn with straight cut or boot cut otherwise they look so odd. These are probably perfect for somebody but not me. ... show more

I ordered these boots in May, and the boot sole lasted until January. The sole literally split at the heel. I have never ordered a pair of Lugz that did not last at least 2 years. Do not purchase these boots, at least not for everyday wear.

    • Where Functionality Meets Comfort...With Style...

To know me, is to know I'm a monochromatic/shades of gray kinda dood. (Note the spelling, folks! (lol)) So if it ain't black (and in some cases, white), then I'm gonna be very select on when I wear it. I've bought Lugz a lot through the years so it felt familiar with the look, fit and feel. It was suggested to get an 11, but I found it to be too roomy (wide and long) for me even with the arch supports I need. So a 10.5 hit just right. If I had one knock against these, it's the laces. They tend to get loose after about an hour of wear and, as a sciatica/sacroiliitis sufferer, who wants to retighten your boots multiple times a day while you're out? So I'll just limit my use of these or look into boots I can slip into...yeah, like those exist... (lol) Anyway, yeah - these fit well and look nice. Pretty sure they're as water-resistant as chukkas usually are, but I'm not about to knowingly test that. Solid lower-cost alternatives to Timberlands and others for style and fit. ... show more

As someone who is living through the 90s, I wore this brand all the time back then. The first thing I will say is that they look amazing, I bought the black/gum, and it is really cool looking. But the quality just from putting them on is remarkably noticeable. It is nowhere near what it used to be. I can’t imagine these will hold up particularly long. They’re also very roomy, so depending on if you’re looking for a snug fit, as I do, a Dr Schols pad is necessary. The last thing I will say is the color that I got I wanted a gray color and I know that the listing said it was black, but it was sort of a denim like material so it looked gray in the pictures, like a very dark charcoal. When I got them, though, I could swear that they are a very dark navy blue. It could just be the lighting. ... show more
