After five plane trips, numerous taxis, an electric golf cart, cobble stone roads, dirt and coral roads, a flat bed truck and three water taxis (all one trip) these were the bomb. Inner lining was pressed against the "screw" from the outer badge and caused it to rip a hole during shipment to me -- not too big of a deal and it was an easy fix. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I’m not particularly picky about luggage, my last piece lasted me about 20 years! But it was finally time for a replacement. After experiencing some sticker shock at how expensive luggage can be, I set out to find something with good value. I came across this piece, and based on the solid reviews and reasonable price, I decided to give it a try. I chose a more unique blue color instead of the typical black and waited for it to arrive. When it did, my first impression was: it’s BIG! I was initially worried it might be too large, but it meets all the size requirements for a checked bag. I packed it for a week-long international trip, enough for two people, and off we went. It was a breeze to wheel around. The case is surprisingly lightweight when empty, so it doesn’t add much to the total weight once packed. Because it’s so light, I do wonder how it will hold up in the long term. It already has a few scuffs, but hopefully, the plastic flexes and bulges rather than cracking. I haven’t seen any complaints about that issue, so I’m assuming it’s not a problem.
