There's a lot to love with these suitcases, and few things that will take some adjustments. We've had our "Samsonite" luggage for 50 years, and still using it, but they're banged up and wearing out, so we thought we'd get some new ones -- but WOW what a price for the "new" ones of the same brand. These are close, at a LOT LOWER prices, so let me tell you about them, They ARE hard shell. And decent strength material, too! Each of the three are exactly the same, except for dimensions. Each has wheels, an extendable steering bar, and handles on the long edge and on the edge opposite the wheels/extension bar. Each has "locks" to attach the zipper tabs to, and you can set the 3-digit combination to whatever you choose. On the inside, each is the same, also. On one side is a tie-down strap to put over your clothes, and it is adjustable in length. On the other side is a zippered divider, with a mesh pocket on the outside. Our old luggage had lots of small "pockets" sewn in around the perimeter of one side -- these have no pockets at all. Our old luggage had a "Full Hard Shell Case", where the two halves locked together in a notch that would keep rain out. These have two halves that are joined together with a zipper -- it's probable that a downpour of rain would allow rain to penetrate the zipper, and get inside the suitcase, so you'd have to make sure not to leave them out during a downpour. This is the reason I have rated these at only 4 stars. Yes, we don't intend to leave them out, but if they have to be strapped on the roof, or carried in the back of a pick-up, this would be their Achilles heel! The old luggage did not have extension bars or wheels, so those items on this set is a big "upgrade" for us. The wheels roll very easily, and swivel all around. The handle pops out easily, locks in the extended position easily, and pops back in easily. The biggest suitcase will probably be used only on week-long vacations, as it is HUGE! The other two are able to nest inside of each other and inside the big one, so storage will be limited to the size of the biggest one. The smaller two are good sized cases for "regular" vacations of 3-4 days, and maybe a bit longer. These would EASILY merit our 5-star rating if the zippers had some kind of rain protection over them (at least covered like the hinge-side is, or recessed inside a rubber edging, or something!). Picture notes: One picture shows the hinged side and the wheels, another shows the recessed extension handle and the uncovered zipper, one shows the strapped inside, and the last picture shows the full-size zippered side, partially unzipped.

I needed (wanted) a new set of luggage to replace a set that I’ve been using for several years that’s gotten pretty banged up. I wanted a set that offered combination TSA locks (which these do), and that were a unique color to make them easy to spot. These fit those requirements perfectly! They also have storage areas inside that allow you to zipper close one half of the suitcase, and also a side that lets you strap things into position. Nice! The inside also has a zippered compartment for keeping smaller items in place. Each piece has wheels for easy carrying/pulling. The extendable handles each lock in three different positions. When not in use, these stack inside each other so that the total footprint for storage is no larger than that of the largest suitcase. Construction quality seems excellent! I’m looking forward to using these on the next trip that my wife and I will be taking! Overall, I would rate these as five stars and would absolutely recommend them to a friend. This carryon suitcase by CONCEPTEN is a very nice air travel minded piece of luggage. I was initially worried that it would not meet the 22" x14" x 9" size restriction of most airlines. This was due to one of the pictures in the Amazon item description listing the size 28" x 19.3" x 12" though the written description and item's title indicated the size as 22" x14" x 9." I measured the carryon as soon as it arrived and it is indeed 22" x14" x 9." That worry aside, the bag is incredibly light weight and pretty well constructed. It is made almost entirely from ABS plastic with the notable exception of the telescoping handle which is aluminum. It's a a pretty good thickness though so should be fairly durable if not left out in the sun for any length of time. The luggage's interior is roomy with one side having 2 zippered compartments where one is opaque and the other a see-through mesh. Both of the interior zippers work well and open easily. The other side of the bag's interior has straps to secure your items from moving around once packed. The suitcase's outside zipper works smoothly except possibly when opening or closing around the bag's corners. The zipper's two oversized pull-tabs can be placed inside the bag's TSA compliant combination locking mechanism if and when needed. The lock itself feels a little flimsy to me but would deter the casual thief from getting in to the bag. The suitcase's hinge is a bit of a concern as it feels like a heavy vinyl material and may become a weak point over time and frequent use. The bag's carrying handle is good and strong and very comfortable to carry it by. The three position telescoping handle is also comfortable and work well in each of its three locked positions. My favorite feature of this piece of luggage is its wheels which roll really easy in any direction you choose to go--nice! All in all, I really like this carry on suitcase and will use it as my primary go-to bag for air travel and weekend trips. For me, it's just the right size, light weight, and fairly durable all at a value when compared to big brand carryon suitcases. I'm glad I ordered it and an looking forward to my next trip!

The size of these is great, however they feel very cheap. I am not sure if they will with stand "airplane treatment". We did take them on vacation, and they worked just fine. We do not like how they are not expandable, that can limit how much you can pack in them.
