PROS: This piece has a three year warranty, with a website, email, and phone number listed on the tag. It has a TSA lock which is very assuring should your luggage get gate checked at the last minute. That said, it does meet the 22x14x9 restrictions from American Air so it fit easily in the overhead compartment. Still, airlines will gate check any luggage that meets size restrictions IF the overhead bins start to fill during boarding. Those zipper locks are a valuable feature if and when this happens to you. There are 8 rubber -ish banded wheels that roll with great ease and spin 360 degrees. Turn them inward when you place the bag in the airline sizer and the bag stays under 14” wide. They will automatically turn outward when you pull or push the bag, providing good stability and easy maneuverability. The sturdy telescoping handle locks into place and retracts with a press of a button and minimal effort. The interior is typical: gray lining with zippers that feel strong. The outside materials feel durable. The texture on the outside is fine and it appears it would resist minor scratches or dings. The zipper trim is well done. I particularly like how the zipper trim is finished at the bottom of the suitcase (at the wheels). There’s nothing loose that might get snagged when checked or that could open up over time. A nice detail that not all value priced spinner share. Overall the suitcase looks well made. Price is currently better than most, providing excellent value for a highly rated carry-on spinner. CONS There is no handle on the side of the case, just the handle at the top plus the telescoping handle next to it. If you’ve ever struggled placing your overpacked carry on in an overhead bin while a plane full of passengers looks on, then you can appreciate well placed handles. If you’re worried about fitting the bag quickly into a strict sizer, then this is probably not a con for you. :) That one handle on the top of the suitcase has a gel surface on the underside of the handle to make your grip more comfortable. I’m listing it as a con because that gel handle will likely deteriorate if the suitcase is stored in a hot attic for the summer. Having a handle that feels tacky is no go for me. I’m sure if I had to carry the suitcase for some distance, I’d appreciate that gel surface more. But alas, I’m buying a spinner for the wheels so I don’t have to carry it. :) Overall this carry-on is a great value. It all comes down to whether or not you want a handle on the side verses TSA zipper locks. Other suitcases at this price point seem to offer one or the other. If the locks are important to you then this bag is a much better bag than its competitors — well made, good looking, and all those moveable parts (zippers, wheels, retractable handle) under warranty.

1. The bag truly meets the L”xW”xD” carry on requirements for the big US carriers as well as Japan Airlines. Most bags labeled “carry on” don’t actually meet the requirements and airlines are starting to crack down (all you people with massive, extended carry on bags, beware). 2. It is decently sturdy and recently made a trip comprised of 6 flights, one being as a piece of checked luggage, with no issue. 3. The wheels roll smoothly in all directions and it handles airport conditions/parking lots fine. The wheels are a little smaller than on some other bags and so don’t handle uneven surfaces all that well (think bumpy/non-slip crosswalk surfaces). I just lifted the bag over those surfaces by the telescoping handle to avoid the aggravation. 3. The telescoping handle is “meh”. It’s not a particularly smooth up/down motion and requires a few wiggles to get down on occasion. Still, for under forty bucks, it’s fine. 4. It’s lightweight and compact so easily fits in small overheads where others may not. 5. It has a TSA lock. No idea if it’s really secure but it keeps honest people honest. 6. I used it for a weeklong trip to Japan and was good to go (I even overpacked). I’m a 5’2” size medium female with normal sized feet. I mention it bc if you’re a 6’3” dude then obvi you won’t be able to fit as much as I did in the bag. So, here’s what fit: 8 pairs underwear, 5 pairs socks, 2 bathing suits, 3 bras, 2 pairs linen pants, 1 pair hiking pants, 1 pair running shorts, 4 t shirts, 4 tank tops, 3 linen button ups, 1 zip up hoodie, 2 pairs of flip flops, 1 pair of water shoes. The bag was full but not stuffed (could have held more). The side with fabric covering easily zipped and the side with elastic easily snapped in place. The whole thing folded together nicely and zipped with no issue. You’ll run out of room fast if you have bulky clothes (jeans, sweaters), shoes, and/or toiletries in more than a quart sized bag. Note: there’s no extender on this bag. Having only used it once, I have no idea how it will hold up but initial impression is positive. Have three more trips planned in the next 3 months and will report back if feelings on bag change.

It complies with airline carry on specifications. And easy to stow it in overhead bin. Holds a good volume of traveling clothes. Easily rolls through the airport. I like the locking mechanism, the gold color, and it’s a sturdy unit. So far, so good. I use this in combination with a multi compartment back pack that stows under the seat. If I need more, I can check a larger suitcase.

I spent about $40-50, can't remember if there was a sale at the time or not. Needed to upgrade from my mostly-fabric suitcase with only two wheels. Wanted something with a hard shell for protection and water resistance, and four wheels that would allow me to transport my things easily without straining my elbow. The number code lock was a bonus for me. (Though I will say, the zipper could probably be cut with a blade if someone *really* wanted to break into it. If that's a big concern for you, get something higher quality.) Was able to pack clothes and shower supplies for a 6-day trip (with a lot of squashing things down to get it to zip up because I usually pack a few too many things lol). My only complaint is the extendable handle takes a bit of extra focus and oomph to extend all the way. But is not the worst thing that could happen. I'd probably give it 5 stars if that were not an issue. Overall, definitely worth the money I spent on it.
