I have owned a pair of these for many years and have always loved them. Originally I found them to be very comfortable, but since I have developed a bunion and a hammer toe on one foot, (which widens your foot and also requires more padding in the footbed), they make that foot sore after walking around for long. (They don't have much arch support or padding.) I ordered wide in these new ones and they were wide enough in the foot box, (but not wide enough to provide enough room for my hammer toe with my orthotics for padding and support). In addition, they slipped on my heel a little. These pictures show the 10 year old pair next to the new pair. (The old ones came with a lighter colored outsole, which (in my opinion), make them look more casual. The wear on the old ones also make the bootie more casual. They get caught on normal length pants or jeans which make them bunch up a little, but I don't mind that. I recommend these booties if you don't have "problem," feet. I still like them after 10 years of wear!

I have this boot in other colors so I knew what to expect. The footbed is not quite as padded as some other brands. An 8 would have fit but I got the 8.5 to wear with thin socks and also to put an insole in for a little more padding. Based on the brand of shoe, I can be an 8 or 8.5. Very comfortable if you find your correct fit. The Indigo color is a nice shade of a darker denim blue. NOT as dark as Navy, but the color of a medium/dark Denim Jean

I love this Basel bootie! I take an 8.5W and it fits like a glove. They are my go-to shoe. Easy to walk in, comfortable, and just the right heal height. I have ordered it in different colors in my size and width but have had issues with receiving the wrong size and width from the shoe retailors and I sent them back.

I bought these ankle boots to 'dress up' a pair of slacks and blouse, especially in the fall and winter time. I was definitely NOT disappointed. They are very stylish and well-made with quality materials. I have a pretty wide foot so I was a little leery buying a 'wide' boot online. They were a touch snug for me, but I think for most they will fit nicely. Like with most footwear, the more I wear them, the better they will feel/fit.

I was very pleased with this boot. The style is slick and the side zipper on each side made it both stylish and easy to get on. It was comfortable from the start and I wore it to work all day after a minimal couple of hours to see if I needed to break it in. I need a good bit of arch support and this boot performed perfectly. It was a bit lighter in color than I thought it would be but I do love the color.
