Additionally, Lucas Red "N" Tacky Grease contains powerful extreme pressure additives, providing a 4-ball weld load over 400 kgf, and preventing seizure under the toughest stresses. I’ve been using Lucas Oil Red ‘N’ Tacky Grease for years on everything from my pickup, 2013 BMW F800GT motorcycle, and various lawn tools (Echo trimmer, blower attachments, etc.). Great grease. I mainly use it for maintaining my bikes. Red N Tacky is more sticky and tends to stay where I put it, while also providing great water-repelling properties and corrosion resistance for metal-on-metal parts that need lubrication. As with most greases, it can attract dirt if heavily applied. Since I got the 1 lb / 16 oz container, it's quite large and will likely last me 3–4+ years when used only for bike components, which is about how long my last 1 lb container lasted. It's easy to use, although the hardest part is keeping the container clean. I like scooping a small amount into another container and working from that, so I can prevent the main container from getting contaminated. Overall, I think it's a great-value multipurpose grease. I've been using Red N Tacky for years without any issues. This is the newer improved formula, and to me, it seems slightly thicker than the older formula I used to use, no issues great grease.. ... show more

This is a good quality high viscosity sticky or “tacky” grease. I like having it in an open container rather than the tubes for grease guns. It makes it easier to use for general purposes. I use this grease on the propeller shaft and the outdrive to engine coupler splined shaft on my boat. It holds up very well under heat and pressure. It also resists washout on the propeller shaft. Picked up an old Lubrimatic 3oz grease gun at a thrift store. Needed some 3oz grease tubes to replace the original tube of multi-purpose grease. This gun is so old it doesn't have a retracting handle for the pusher spring, you just remove the old tube with pliers. New tube loaded in easily, and flows well when squeezing the handle. Should provide versatility to grease my tractor and other random things, three tubes should last a bit of time. 100% compatible with this old 3oz grease gun I bought. Obviously I am not rebuilding engines in my dorm, I just grabbed this Lucas Red N Tacky pack for my bike and my squeaky fan. I squeeze a bit on my bike chain and it runs way smoother. Tube size fits in my tiny toolbox under the bed. That made me pretty glad I bought it.
