Description

It’s hard to imagine just how good the LS2 Stream II full-face motorcycle helmet is. Style, features and performance that surpass helmets costing literally twice the price, this helmet is an out-of-the-park home run. It starts with an aerodynamic, sport styled shell made from LS2’s proprietary Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA). This high-tech material uses nanotechnology to blend microscopic aramid fibers with a high-end polymer. This blend allows for amazing energy managing performance with managed flexibility that absorbs energy without the ricochet effect of inferior materials. The Stream II meets the ECE 22.06 rotational energy management specifications using Advanced Rotational Energy Management Technology (AREM), another LS2 proprietary process. The rear spoiler allows for dynamic flow-through ventilation. The 3D laser cut foam in the cheek pads, removeable liner with special flex-crown comfort system is super comfortable and easy to keep fresh. 3 shells and 5 energy absorbing EPS liners make for a fit that is nothing short of amazing. The optically correct, Class A polycarbonate shield is Pinlock ready, for the ultimate in fog management (Pinlock sold separately). The overall finish and performance sets the Stream II at the forefront of full-face motorcycle helmets. Even those costing twice the price. Meets or exceeds ECE 22.06 and DOT FMVSS standards. Intermediate oval fit. Helmet shown with optional tinted shield. (Ships with clear shield only). DOT approved. Meets the FMVSS 218 Standard.

This is my first helmet and so glad I purchased this beautiful helmet. The materials feel great, and durable, I ordered a medium and fits snug even with my glasses. The sun visor is easy to use and provides great coverage in the sun. The carry bag is also nice, comes with a sticker for your helpmet, I chose to stick to my bike. The vents provide pretty good ventilation, noise seems fine to me, and the screen didn't fog up much unless I was at a light but there is an add on available that clip to the shield to prevent fogging. The first store supplier in Texas didn't ship the helmet after 3 business days. So I ordered a second helmet, this time it was from a supplier in Minnesota. Internal visor mechanism was broken so the visor would neither stay all the way up or come down. The box had obviously been opened before as the cardboard tabs were ripped. Returning for a replacement and I'll update this review when I get the replacement. UPDATE: Replacement helmet provided, and the replacement reached me in new condition (though through a much slower delivery option). The helmet is nice and works well. I will mention that the size may run a bit small, as the Large is quite snug compared to previous large helmets. It may loosen up with continued wear. My one complaint would be that it is quite loud at freeway speeds, but that's to be expected at this price point. I'm pretty happy with the replacement. ... show more

In terms of cost effective gear, this one provides everything you could want. It's comfortable on my head (a medium fits snugly and without headache or pinching), meets ECE22.06, and has inbuilt sun-visor and pinlock compatibility. There are three issues which lower the ranking for 5 stars to 4 for me, but note that for the price it's still well worth it. 1. I can't find a pinlock to actually fit this visor, and without it this thing really likes to fog up 2. the ventilation is not so good, but simultaneously the gap around the neck line makes for a frustrating amount of road noise 3. the main visor doesn't have a "quarter inch open" ridge, which it would really benefit from However on the whole, I'm content ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Fits a little tight., around my jaw area. The internal sun shade does not comeback down after moving the leaver to make it go up. I don’t know if this had been returned, because there’s a small mark by the leaver to raise and lower the shield. I’ll be returning it.
