Very nice helmet and the graphics look great. These helmets do run big. I take a large in every other helmet I have and according to the LS2 size chart a large should have fit. I originally bought a large but had to return it for a medium, which fits perfect.

Been riding 40 years, very comfortable helmet, fits great. Was not sure about this with the negative reviews but figured, what the hell it's Amazon, if I don't like it I will return it. Very minimal mushroom head, and I have a small oval shaped head. the visor does not lift on its own even at 70MPH. About the most comfortable helmet I have ever owned. Quick release strap is great, but a little long. This is a great DOT 1/2 helmet for the price. I got the matte black w/ black flag and I must say, with the dark visor down this helmet looks pretty bad ass. ... show more

    • Nice looking and comfortable but a bit heavy

Very nice looking helmet and the black flag graphic is excellent. Unfortunately, that is offset by the large "LS2" logo right in the front center. (A 3" x 5" sample of 3M Deep Matte Black vinyl will cover the logo nicely..) Feels good and fits my somewhat oval head well although I am on the border between L and XL and went down to the L based on past experience. I was expecting more cooling from the vent but could barely tell it was open, even when standing on the floorboards with my head well above the windshield. Maybe the cooling will be more noticeable when it's not 90 degrees outside. On the plus side, I had no significant buffeting even when purposely putting my head into the wind stream. The movable visor comes very close to my glasses and I see myself only using it just partly down to help when the sun is just below the peak (be sure to remove protective film for clarity). At 40 ounces (actual weight), it's one of the heaviest half-helmets I own. It is well balanced but still heavy. Also, is fairly large but doesn't really cause a "mushroom head" appearance. Well made, looks good, and (after lowing my windscreen) the vent actually works! Most helmet vents do little or nothing but this vent actually allowed in enough air I could feel it. It's only 75*, so I hope I'll be as happy with it on a 95* day, but I'm impressed so far. Graphics look good and it's lighter than most other half helmets. ... show more

    • Perfect Fit, Perfect Comfort, Easy To Use

I have purchased many helmets over the years, and I've had to wear everything from a large to a 2X because they are not true to size. This one is. I measured my head, compared it to the sizing chart, ordered the helmet, and got a perfect fit. This helmet also doesn't require a break in period either. It is the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn, in 25 plus years of riding. I've been wearing it for months now, and it's still doing great. If their is a down side to this helmet, it might be that it is a slight bit heavier than most of the others I've had, but this is the first one I've purchased with a visor in it. The buckle and release are absolutely awesome, I can easily release and secure the helmet strap with gloves on, and I don't have to deal with D rings, or aftermarket clips that are hard to work even with gloves off. I'm one of those idiots that usually does not wear a helmet. I've been riding for over 40 years and have been fairly lucky to avoid major injury. After I went down hard a couple of years ago, I decided to use what brain that was spared to get a good helmet. After a lot of research, I decided on the LS2 and am glad that I did. Fits great, no mushroom head, the drop down visor is decent, and is very comfortable on a long ride. This is real, DOT approved, not a novelty item. I ordered and returned a different helmet that said it was DOT approved. There was no DOT sticker and it was made cheaply.
