I wasn't a helmet person but I went with a modular and this one checks all the boxes. First thing is the DOT and ECE 2206 rated. The 180 degree chin guard is great. The top gun inside visor is placed right and works well. I wish it was a little darker. The outer shield pulls down fine but there is no tab to push it up. I was looking at other helmets in the higher $200's lower $300's but after I figured out the Noir came with another outer shield that's smoked and the pinlock shield it made this one a no brainer for the money. My noggin measured 24" so I got the 2X but I think if I had even a bit bigger head I'd go up a size. The sizing chart is pretty close but they might run just a tick small. Overall it's comfortable to wear. I do feel a little extra pressure on my cheeks with the chin guard down but nothing extreme. I don't get a lot of wind noise from inside but if the wind hits it just right you get some turbulence noise. I suspect that is common. It seems light enough that I haven't got any neck aches with it yet. Very pleased with it. ... show more

I ordered a XXL helmet because i read that these helmets run small and i have a full face that is XL. These helmets run small in more ways than 1. Helmet fit my crown fine but really pinched up my face!! There was a phone number inside the box to call for support before returning. I called and the salesman was extremely helpful. He ordered a XXXL cheekpad kit for the helmet and had it direct shipped to me. Evidently Europeans have tiny faces. Helmet came in on time and was what I asked for. Really like it because it can be run open face when it is hot or closed face when it is cooler. Has very good ventilation. complaint is that it took so long to get the cheek pad in. This is why only 4 stars. Only other complaint is that the black helmet can be ordered with a Bluetooth module pre installed in the helmet and this one cannot. ... show more

After putting 100 miles on this helmet, I can confidently say it’s a solid choice for riders looking for comfort, protection, and good overall features at a reasonable price. Fit & Comfort: The fit is quite good, though I’d note that the shape leans more towards a round profile rather than a long-oval. If you typically wear long-oval helmets, this might feel a little snug on the top of my forehead. That said, once adjusted properly, it sits comfortably without pressure points, and I had no issues with fatigue after extended rides. Features & Performance: Ventilation: The airflow is decent, helping to keep things cool even on warmer days. Visor & Visibility: The visor mechanism works smoothly, and visibility is excellent, giving a wide field of view without obstruction. Noise Levels: As with most helmets in this price range, there is some wind noise at higher speeds, but it’s nothing excessive or unbearable. Overall Verdict: For the price, this helmet offers a great balance of comfort, protection, and practical features. Compared to the Kabuto Ibuki XL helmet, I found the XL to be significantly smaller, to the point where it hurt my ear to put on, and I could not wear glasses. It has good build quality and looks cool, but I will be returning it due to sizing issues.
