  • The Canon Batteries That Saved My Photo Shoot and My Reputation
I grabbed the LP-E6 LP-E6N battery and dual charger set because I had a paid photo shoot for a client's product launch and my single Canon battery decided to die exactly halfway through, leaving me sweating and explaining why I needed a "quick break" that involved frantic charging. This set includes two batteries and a dual-channel charger that juices both simultaneously, which is the professional equivalent of having a backup parachute. My husband, who does not understand why I need "so many batteries," witnessed my panic at the failed shoot and silently handed me the credit card for this purchase, which is his way of apologizing for doubt. The batteries are 2000mAh each, giving me approximately 800-900 shots per charge with my EOS R5, which means I can shoot an entire wedding or product session without the cold sweat of watching the battery indicator drop into the red. The dual charger is the real MVP; I can charge both overnight and wake up to full power, or charge one while shooting with the other, creating an endless loop of energy that makes me feel like a photography god. The batteries communicate with my camera properly, showing accurate percentage and not triggering the "non-Canon battery" warning that some third-party options cause. After six months, both batteries still hold charge like new, with no noticeable degradation. Value is cheaper than one missed shot at a paid gig or the therapy of explaining to a bride why you ran out of power during the first dance. What do I think? These batteries are my insurance policy, my peace of mind, and the reason I no longer sweat through my shirt at events; my husband now understands why backups matter, my clients get their full galleries, and I sleep better knowing I have power to spare. Sometimes redundancy is the best investment. ... show more

  • A great value if you want dependable backup batteries without paying OEM prices
Right out of the box, this kit feels like a solid, no-nonsense backup solution. The batteries have a similar weight and fit to the originals, and they slide into the camera without any issues. The dual charger is compact and travel-friendly, which is nice if you’re carrying gear around a lot. In real use, the 2600mAh batteries perform reliably. You’re getting close to OEM-level performance for photos and moderate video use, and having two batteries in rotation makes a big difference during longer shoots. It’s not a massive upgrade in capacity, but it’s the convenience of having extras ready that really stands out. The dual-channel charger is simple but effective. The LCD display showing each battery’s status is a step up from basic LED chargers—you can quickly see what’s charged and what still needs time. Charging two batteries at once is a time saver, and the ability to power it via USB-C or Micro-USB makes it super flexible, especially for travel or on-the-go setups. Performance-wise, everything feels stable—no overheating, no camera errors, and charging is consistent. Compared to OEM chargers, this is more versatile, though charging speed is about average, not particularly fast. A couple downsides: battery life is good but still slightly below Canon originals under heavy use like continuous video. The charger also feels a bit lightweight, so it doesn’t have that premium feel, but it gets the job done. Overall, this is a great value if you want dependable backup batteries without paying OEM prices. It’s ideal for photographers and videographers who shoot regularly and need extra power on hand, especially for travel or longer sessions where swapping batteries quickly matters. ... show more

  • So far so good, be aware of full compatibility with newer camera bodies
I got this for my R6 mark ii. First, it's important to note that compatibility-wise, the camera recognizes these as the old LP-E6 model. This means you won't have full bursting / high speed continuous shooting capability in some of the newer Canon bodies. They also do not support in-body charging through the USB port. I believe these may not work at all in something like R5 mark ii that requires the latest LP-E6P for full functionality and compatibility. My R6ii recognized the batteries right away, and they came with charges of 44% and 37%, decent storage charges. I charged them up with the included charger and everything works as expected. The fit of the batteries into the charger is pretty snug, which actually can be useful for not falling out if you are on-the-go and charging via power bank in a bag. There is an integrated USB A cable which is a nice touch, though I do wish it were a USB C instead. There is a separate USB C port for bringing your own cable though. It charges OEM batteries too, so it can be used as a convenient multi bay charger. Overall, it seems like a good value for the money for some backup batteries. ... show more

  • Fast USB-C dual charging, USB-A attached, Long battery life, quick charging, Pro-tier recommended.
It's rare to find LP-E6 dual chargers these days as these cameras are finally getting to be a bit old now. Nonetheless, they're coveted fan favorites and professional devices that use this battery and many professionals and freelancers like myself are in need of backup sets. This device comes equipped with a USB attached so you can bring it along with you wherever you go, as well as a usb-c port for super fast charging. I would recommend pairing this with a 12v socket with a high power USB-C port in the car so you can keep your batteries charged on the go. The batteries have been tested in my Canon 6d since purchase, and these are actually much more long-lasting than older models of non OEM batteries, and I'm pleasantly surprised. A major misconception about non-oem batteries is that they don't have the capacity to last as long or have a failing function, but that simply isn't true and I've never found it to be the case. In fact, I believe that these charge faster, last longer, and hold up much better than the OEM batteries do. I'd certainly purchase these again. ... show more
