  • Delicious, nutritious and easy to make
These are delicious although a bit salty. I like the spicy ones better than the regular, but you can flavor the regular ones by pouring out the 'chips' onto a plate and sprinkling them with hot sauce (or whatever) before you microwave them. Crispy, crunchy, tender and great to team up with a beer. Here's what you need to know. Although pork rinds have an aura of unhealthiness, these are substantially better nutritionally than light microwaved popcorn. They are actually lower in fat, higher in protein and amino acids, and lower in carbs. In fact, you can eat the whole package and get ~240 calories, 8g fat and 32g protein with almost zero carb. The amino acid profile is very good..low in the 3 that you really don't want to over consume and high in the ones you do. Pork rinds are also an excellent source of gelatin...the unctuous stuff from bones, connective tissue, skin and so forth that makes your pot roast and fried chicken skin taste good. Turns out its also a great source of protein and aminos. Depending on which study you read it may improve your skin, hair, nails and might help with arthritic conditions. It might even reduce the signs of aging and help with cell regeneration. I've also solved the problem with how long you cook them. Cook them in the popcorn bag for 90 seconds. Dump them out into a bowl. Any small brown ones didn't cook. Put them on a plate and cook for 30 seconds. You'll see them expand into the finished product. I'm not even sure you need the bag at all, I think they're just trying to simulate microwave popcorn. Next time I cook them I'm just going to dump them out into a large bowl and nuke until I see they're all cooked. Edit: that worked fine. I dumped them out onto a plate, spread them out and nuked them. They all expanded and around the time the last one expanded I noted a darkening spot on one of the first ones to 'pop'. I could have stopped it half way through to take out the ones that were done, but being able to watch the process made cooking them simple. No pops, spatter or any sort of mess at all. Unless you wanted to eat them out of the bag in the car, this is the way to go. Great snack, my kid loves them. My dogs too. Very satiating and way better for you than chips or popcorn. ... show more

  • A taste sensation!
These are a taste sensation! If you like pork rinds/pork scratchings, you'll LOVE these. 2 minutes in the microwave and these pork rinds come out hot and fresh. Great value for money. A super snack any time of the day or night.

  • Microwave pork rinds
I will never buy pork rinds any other way these are fabulous. I used to buy large jars but usually ended up throwing out half because they got soggy. They are so good right out of the microwave. They are salty like a potato chip which makes them great for dips.

  • these are great!
I absolutely love these pork rinds. However, this time, same as some others have reported, I have noticed a strong ammonia smell when I microwave them. It is present even when cooked the appropriate length of time. When I open the bag, I have to make sure I allow it to air out before consuming. They taste fine, it's just that strong smell during and immediately upon opening the bag. One time, I accidentally over cooked them and the ammonia smell was so strong, I had to go outside. I have asthma and it was making me cough and my lungs were burning. I actually thought the smell was coming from my microwave because it was so harsh. I should include that it isn't just the smell of ammonia, it is the same chemical burning sensation as if I were actually sniffing a bottle of ammonia. It is weird. So, I knocked a star off my rating. ... show more

  • Great Pork Rinds
First off they are delicious. Also when prepared properly theyre nice and hot an experience I've never had with pork rinds before. Fare warning though they can be a tad bit salty if you're eating them all by themselves.

  • Great Snack and you pay for the small, heat n serve style packaging
I do love these as a snack, super salty and crunchy and of course, no carbs. What is nice is you dont have to eat a whole bag, these are single serving portions so I will go through a few bags, then forget about them for weeks, then have them again. The thing that isnt great is the inconsistency. Some bags "pop" great. You get a bowl full of plump cracking snacks (They literally crackle) but sometimes, 1/2 the bag stays un-"popped" and you have these hard little things you cant eat. Or, for whatever reason, same time in microwave, they will burn. So, thats the downside. Hasnt stopped me from ordering mulitple times though. ... show more

  • So delicious!
I bought these because I used to find them at Walmart back in the day. 9 out of 10 people that try them are hooked. They are fresh and delicious! I add hot sauce on occasion, but not needed!

  • Better than store bought
I have had plenty of store bought rinds and I was buying homemade rinds from a store an hour drive from me, those were good but pricey. Now these have to be microwaved for the correct time or they will not come out good, I went thru 2 bags before I found the perfect time for me, I have a thousand watt microwave and at 2 min and 15 sec mine are ready. If you want something really tasty, keto of course, dump the rinds in a food storage bag, add some softened peanut butter shake the bag to cover the rinds, transfer to another storage bag and add powdered keto sweetener to cover the rinds again, it’s a no guilt keto sweet snack.. ... show more
