I own a lot of Moissanite in rings and necklaces (no pierced ears, alas). This one looks more like higher end fashion jewelry but is definitely nicer than my less expensive compass style pendants (I own a few). I love the compass design which has personal symbolism for me as it does for many others. I also appreciate the less expensive materials since if this gets lost, I won’t be devastated over the loss or expense. My thoughts on Moissanite in general is this: I love it. I prefer the sparkle of Moissannite over diamonds, especially any diamonds I could ever afford. It reflects a larger rainbow spectrum and actually looks the way I always want diamonds to look. I also like that the stones are guilt free for me with no ethics issues of where and how they were mined like diamonds offer. They are much prettier than cubic zirconia, too, thanks to that rainbow effect. They are actually harder and more durable than CZ, too. Moissanite jewelry is just a win all around for me between appearance and cost.

This necklace is even more beautiful in person and it looks so expensive! The necklace is a true gold color and it’s not a cheap looking gold. The stones in the charm are very secure, and they shine so beautifully! The necklace is not flimsy, and it is very easy to unclasp, which I really do appreciate as I have arthritis in my hands. I have received so many compliments on this necklace. The charm is not too big but it’s also not too small. It’s truly a beautiful classic piece! I definitely recommend this because the quality and Packaging reflect a high end piece of jewelry but the listing price is so affordable! Pay attention to the color and birthstone because they have gold and silver offered in both and the birthstone is sometimes not the norm. My wife loves jewelry particularly anything silver and anything with a birthstone. It doesn't even have to be her birthstone--she just likes the way they look. Despite having a September birthday she's been into rubies lately so being a good husband I ordered this for her. I wish I knew more about jewelry to review this but I don't so I just rely on what she tells me. She likes this a lot. It's a little smaller than she expected but that has advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that it's a bit more 'tasteful' than the garden variety birthstone necklace. She wears it often and that's a good indication she likes it a lot. Ultimately, the fact she's happy with is what matters the most to me. Highly recommended!
