My mom moved into assisted living and with limited space for photos I wanted a cute solution for her to be able to see her favorite pictures. This certainly fit the bill. There are certainly some positives and negatives. In regard to the negatives, first, the wood is a bit flimsy and when you screw the pieces together it is clear they are fragile and given the short length of the screws can be easily broken apart. I added wood glue onto the pieces before screwing them together and then clamped them. Once dry, stability was vastly improved. Second, the five strings are not uniform in length. I don’t know if that is by design, or by mistake but it looks a bit sloppy. Third, it would have been nice if they provided a screw head template because trying to figure out exactly where to place the screws in the wall, even in relation to each other was a pain, and took longer than necessary. On a positive note, once installed it was super cute and my mom was delighted. She was so excited and was showing it off to the staff as they came in to check on her. I love that is easy for her to quickly change out the photos when she wants something different. Even given the flimsy design, I’d buy it again. ... show more

This hanging frame was an excellent way to display 20 of my 4x6 birding photos. The small clothes pins are very functional and there 27 included with the frame. If you want to display 4x6 photos in a vertical position it will overlap the clothes pin on the next lower line. A better choice would be to hang all of the vertical photos on the bottom row. Assembly isa bit more tricky than the instructions would suggest. If you want the wood pieces to match up perfectly you have to make the small screws very tight. After one failed attempt I used spring type clamps to hold the two pieces of wood tightly together while I carefully drove in each of the two screws. I suggest using a hand Phillips screwdriver and not a power driver. The ad suggests that the strings will be tight across. That too is tricky. I carefully laid out the holes on the wall using a long level and following the metric dimensions provided precisely. I tightened the screws in the wall as much as was possible and the arms of the frame still have the ability to lean slightly to the left or right. If they would remain truly vertical and tight to the wall the strings would be tight. But under tension from the strings the arms always tend to lean in towards the center. I don't think there is an easy correction for this. Even with string sag it's still an impressive frame for the price. Measure carefully and use a level and you should be happy. I printed labels on 4x6 card stock in my printer and cut them up and attached them to each clothes pin with a dab of adhesive from a glue stick. ... show more

The quality isn't the best but you get what you pay for. Had to shorten 1 of the ropes cause it was longer than the rest. Also used wood glue on a couple pieces cause the wood split (kinda my fault for over tightening the screws). But it's super cute and I would purchase another one.

I tried using command strips so the rope sags a little bit. I hope it doesnt fall off the wall. If it does, I will use nails and secure the fatter side of the wood to the wall! It does the job!
