I use these as training treats for my two large dogs - they are that good that my dogs go crazy for them, are a perfect size for treating, and nutritious enough that I feel good using the amounts needed in training (it’s basically a nutritious meal they get during a fun training session). We have also tried the fish dry food, which the dogs love, but it has a fishy smell. The duck flavor does not have a strong odor, dogs love it! ... show more

I have no idea what on God's green Earth is going on with these little crunchy nuggets, but my Yorkies go absolutely bat-****-crazy for them. They recognize the sound of the plastic pouch from the other end of the house--and they've also been known to sit in front of the package with a very pointed stare and forceful bark to let me know it's time for a treat. (I actually do use them as treats vs. a meal, as I have them on a raw food diet.) These are a perfect distraction device -- easy to throw a handful in the middle of the room (or the backseat of a car) for a game of "get 'em while you can" while I get some stuff done and not have to worry about coming back to a mess you need to clean up. They're also the perfect addition to a doggie "trail mix" -- something you can add to the treat bag to bulk up the options before you go on that 10-mile hike. My little MaltiPoo eats like a wolf, and this is his favorite food. We walk a mile or so each morning and on the way home I free him a large handful of the crunchy bits. I toss them on the sidewalk ahead of us to keep him moving, and he eats along the way. I know he's getting all the nutrients that Maltese dogs need.
