Even though I returned this item I am writing a review because it is exactly what it promises. If your motorized scooter or wheelchair has this kind of plug in charger, this will be perfect for you. I was told my charging cord was bad because it would not charge. That was not correct. My batteries were so dead they had to be charged another way. The charger apparently has a built in sensor that has to detect some voltage in the battery in order to start charging. ( my terminology might be incorrect but the idea is right.) The medical supply place I took my battery to was able to charge it somehow, after which my old cord worked perfectly well. So I sent this back. But if you need it or want an extra this is fine ... show more

This doesn't work!!! It stayed red as if "charging:" all night. You unplug it and the green light comes on, saying now it is charged. Plug it back in says "charging". Then I unplugged it from the scooter/battery (tried both) and the charged light stayed on. How in the heck is the blank air fully charged? Do not be fooled by the high stars. I needed this!!! Saved my condition & comfort. Great back up or multi locations one with you & one at home or where you are! I first tested with a " genius" and it did work on my vehicle 400w inverter ( engine off better than on- I think?) Attended a week long event while camping: half day long distance with a top off at the vehicle ( lunch, meds, hydration) got enough for the day without begging. As good as the OEM and $$$ if much fairer than a medical supplies dealer @ 3X the price! Your expensive battery will last longer & maybe you won't get stranded: praying for a good Samaritan with a power source? Watch you gages, point of no return caculations, if on board - better! Partially charges and takes forever. Have previously used 2A chargers for my Jazzy Pride, and even with older batteries, could run 10-15 miles on a 4 hour charge. Have purchased new batteries and have replaced battery cables (just in case that was the issue) and still can only get about 2 miles after a 12 hour charge. that both my old and new batteries can hold a charge and have borrowed a friend's charger to troubleshoot where the problem lies. Definitely the fault of the charger. Complete and utter waste of money. ... show more

Arrived on time with package and item in excellent shape. Performed just fine, even though there were no instructions regarding the status/condition LED displays. Green if either end is plugged in wall or output cable is connected to a fully charged scooter battery. Red indicates scooter battery is depleted and will turn Green when fully charged, and do not leave it plugged in more than 6-10 hours or you'll overcharge the battery (boil out all the electrolyte liquid). There was a pinout diagram so I could verify wiring before just plugging it in on the charger...whew! ... show more

    • Low quality, won't last and no warranty.
It lasted less than a year, the quality of the product is low. Cheaply made so it will brake fast, you are better off with paying more for a good quality product. Gettting a full automatic charger will save you money in the long run, it will maintain your battery in working condition and keep it charged. These also have no warranty, so once its done and your 30 days have passed that cover you with amazon a-z insurance you are done. ... show more

Works fine. I'm using these in military surplus generators as battery maintainers. It works excellent, but the factory XLR connector is too small to mate with the female audio-style XLR connectors I use, so I had to replace the factory connector. Kind of a nuisance, since the whole point of buying these units was to go to standardized connector on all my generators. However, I can't knock the product for that, as that is not it's designed and intended use. For all I know, motorized wheelchairs may use slightly different connectors than XLR connectors for us in audio. Good product, works as it should. Edit: after a few weeks of sitting on generator batteries in pretty low temps, it seems to be maintaining them well. ... show more
