My skin is oily and fair with a cool undertone and a lot of pinkness that I’m trying to neutralize. I originally tried Maybelline Master Prime 300 (green), which claims to “prime skin with pigments to counteract the look of redness for an even-toned start.” But the consistency was too translucent/runny (milky green, almost white) to cover my very pink skin and I could barely even tell a difference. I’m not sure the primer aspect did anything for makeup adherence or durability. It was moisturizing but added shine to my already oily skin and then sunscreen on top of that made my skin even greasier. The L’Oréal magic skin beautifier BB cream anti-redness is a hero product with everything I need: * actually cancels all my redness, evens skin tone. * lightweight, matte, not greasy, leaves my skin feeling soft (product is light green and creamy but turns to nude as applied) * can be worn by itself, under sunscreen, or over makeup. * lasts all day. * a pea-sized amount goes a long way. I didn’t notice it to be moisturizing, but that’s ok for me since I apply Aveeno restorative skin therapy oat repairing cream first anyway. I just wish the BB cream was available in a bigger size because I plan to use this almost every day for a long time. Luckily, it’s not expensive, so I’ll just buy more. ... show more

I always said, as long as Loreal stays in business I can have hair any color that I want! But, when it came to makeup, I had to have the expensive stuff. So things happened, I didn't have that much money, One day I was in a drug store actually looking for a toner for my face when I noticed the Loreal BB Tube. I read that it already has a primer and a moisturizer plus the tinted makeup. So I bought it. It comes in fair, medium and deep, well I am very fair but purchased the medium. I put it on my clean face and it went on so beautifully and smooth and hid a myriad of imperfections, only problem was it was to dark so I purchased the fair and it is absolutely perfect and it stays on. I Love it and then I started their cleanser, moisturizer with retinol their toner, I had to have everything Loreal! And it's more reasonable. I don't use anything else now! If you struggle with redness and want something lightweight and easy to throw on, this is definitely worth a try. It starts off green, but once you blend it in, it adjusts to your skin tone and helps cancel out redness. The texture is smooth, almost like a moisturizer, and it gives a nice, natural finish—not heavy or cakey. That said, the coverage is pretty light, so if you have a lot of redness, you might still need some concealer. Bought this for my Rosie cheeks and absolutely love it. Does look light for a bit until it fully blends. Don't have to keep rubbing it, just give it 60 seconds to finish changing color. I love this BB cream, and I have tried the green shade, light and fair and they all end up blending perfectly to my skin tone but the only thing about this one is that it is, like, REALLY orange when it first goes on, and takes a minute to seep into skin color. One of the worst things I've ever put on my face. Problems: color, texture, doesn't match claims. I use L'Oréal True Match in N 0.5. I have mild rosacea and sometimes deal with mild acne. I was looking for something lightweight I could wear to the gym or on days I don't want to wear makeup but feel self-conscious about the redness in my skin. I tested it first on my hand and was shocked at how orange and dark it was, even after blending, but I thought I'd still give it a chance under makeup. I used less than a pea sized amount for my whole face, and it was still dark and had a yellow-orange tint that doesn't match any skin color I've seen in my life. It looks like bad fake tanner. None of the redness in my face was neutralized at all. It also was very dry in texture and had a flaky look, despite being used after hyaluronic acid and moisturizer. It stuck to any dry skin and made it look scaly. If you've got red on your face, you're probably dealing with an issue like acne, rosacea or eczema. This will cling to any imperfection and make it stand out more, like cakey makeup, even when barely any is used, while again not neutralizing the redness at all. I can't speak for darker people, but I can say honestly that unless you've got warm undertones and are at least as tan as an 80s swimsuit model, this will not match your coloring. On someone pale, it looks incredibly bad. Like jaundice. No joke, no exaggeration. I couldn't put makeup on over it because it was so flaky looking that it would just make the foundation look terrible, too. If you are pale or fair, have any dryness to your skin, have acne or rosacea papules, have cool or neutral undertones - don't waste your money on this. It really is as bad as the negative reviews say. I wish I'd looked at them sooner. ... show more
